Skechers Women's Hillcrest Hiking Shoe

Comfortable, good style, correct fit. Used for city walking.

These shoes made a difference in walking. My back doesn’t hurt like it did before. They are so light weight, great grip if you’re walking inclines. They fit well.

I love my Skechers sneakers with memory foam. I have a bad back and they are the only brand I buy. They fit well and are comfortable. I have had 3 different pairs of this version and will buy again.

I had originally ordered this style in another color, and found them to be too snug. I reordered the color I originally wanted in a wide and the fit was much better. It is odd, the wide does not look wide, at all. Anyway, the fit was better but these suckers are very poorly designed. The top of the shoe, the tongue area, runs very high on the instep. I am talking up to the joint at the top of my foot. It wouldn't be so bad if the shoe had more flexibility, but alas, the upper part of the shoe is a bit stiff. The insole area is okay, although not nearly as comfortable as the mesh sneaks. I thought these were step ins. They are not. Getting my foot situated in the shoe with the awkward cut was a clue these might be problematic. After receiving them I realized I have a pair of dark brown suede Skechers, but not really the style I was looking for. That pair is a loafer, and runs big so socks are a must. I was looking for something I could go sans socks in if I wanted. I could with this pair, going to a wide size, but the discomfort on the top of the shoe may be a deal breaker. I hate to wear them and be unable to return them. They are not inexpensive, so I am on the boarder as to whether I just return them or give them a shot.I finally wore these out and about and was very surprised at how comfortable they ended up being. I had no rubbing where I thought I might. I had on a relatively thick pair of socks so that might have made the difference. However. They are hard to put on. Might have to break out an old shoe horn. I upgraded to 4 stars after giving them a second chance.

The fit is great and true to size. The shoes are so beautiful that I was hesitant to wear them hiking, but after a week of streetwear, I decided to actually use them as hiking shoes. Great decision! I wore them for a 7.8 mile mountain hike last weekend and they were absolutely amazing! Comfortable enough to walk 8 miles, rugged enough to handle roots and stones and sharp inclines, and they still looked great after I cleaned off all the mud.Also, I accidentally ordered an 8 instead of an 8.5 the first time and the exchange process was super easy and fast. Great shoes from a great seller with excellent customer service.

Great shoe. Very well made and really comfortable. Also like the color. Brown shoes can literally be from one extreme color to another but this one is very adaptable.

I purchased these shoes for our Alaskan Trip the beginning of July. They worked great and were really comfortable. In fact, I ended up wearing them most of the trip.

I bought these hoping for a hiking shoe, but they can't really work out well for that, sorry to say. They list 3 things which I copied from the description, see in brackets below, which sadly does not really work:[About this item:Shock absorbing midsole with speckle accentMemory foam cushioned comfort insoleFlexible rubber traction outsole]1. The shock absorbing midsole is not really very 'shock absorbing'. The shoes are kind of long and flat, they do not absorb any shock of just walking across a carpeted floor, how could they work on a trail?2. The memory foam cushion is just a long flat insert that you could buy anywhere, and has no support. There is no support structure in the shoe itself, you are just walking a long flat memory foam cushion that does not hold up well to your weight as is squishes down pretty easily just trying them on (I only weigh around 132 lbs). My foot already had uncomfortable sensations in the balls of my feet and heels just trying on. The 'plastic-rubber' soles felt irritatingly cheap underneath my feet. They run a bit long, and the sole was stiff and did not move with the motions of my foot when walking very well.3. The soles are not that flexible, but kind of plasticky and stiff, the 'plastic-rubber' blend described above, with more plastic than rubber. If you hold the shoe and try to bend it with your hands at the arch or ball of the foot, it won't bend, but I am afraid it could crack or break. It was that kind of not "flexible rubber traction outsole" that was described.These look rather attractive which is why I bought them, but they could not be used either as a hiking shoe, nor walking shoe or sneaker with any comfort level at all, b/c of the problems in manufacturing a nice looking shoe with cheaper materials that are not designed to properly cushion or support your foot while hiking or walking. The stitching is already unraveling in parts on the interior, and I have only tried them on briefly on carpeted area and walked around the corner from the living room into the bed room with one shoe on to write this review. I can't wait to take them off b/c the cheap materials do not feel good on my foot.I would not recommend this shoe at all, there are Skechers sneakers with more support and comfort, more cushioned insoles and true rubbery outsoles than this, you would be better with those than this, which is also not easy to return, as there are few options available. NOT very good return options if you do not have a car or printer, as there is no option for a UPS pick- up, or a code to scan if you can get a ride to the UPS store. You have to first get the label printed at the local library, if you do not have a printer, and then beg a ride to the UPS drop off location to drop them off.

Bought these in the brown. 8 wide which is my size and they fit perfectly. They are soooooo comfortable! Love these and could wear all day. Please bring them back in the black! I would purchase multiple colours!
