Worth the money!
My wife and I have been adopting a Low Carb/High Fat lifestyle for well over a year. I have tried various brands of almond flour for my baking needs and most have been disappointing - either not fresh or not super fine enough.Bob's Red Mill seems to be the "gold standard" of all the YouTube videos on Keto baking recipes. This almond flour is made from blanched almonds (very important because the "skin" has been removed before milling) and has been milled super fine - almost identical to wheat flour feel when rubbed between your fingers.Yes, it's more expensive than other brands, but it really shines in the finished baked goods. Many Keto baked goods don't quite compare to traditional wheat flour-based recipes because almond flour is not as absorbent as wheat flour, so it is crucial to use the best of ingredients. If you can afford the extra $$$, be sure to try this brand in your next baked recipe. If you're not Keto, and need almond flour for certain uses, like making French Macarons, this super-fine product is a MUST to deliver beautiful results.

Excellent nut flour for baking!
The texture and flavor are excellent as you would expect from this wonderful brand! Bags are 16 ounces which I overestimated in size. I got 3 bags but really needed 4. Overbuy and freeze/refrigerate if you have extra! Stays good for 6 months in freezer, I’ve found.

Delicious
Finally a gluten free flour that you can make cookies with and not get that gritty taste that is so common with other gf flours. The only drawback is the high cost of perfection. I will still buy it, though, because it is so good.

Expensive
The recipe on the Red Mill bag is pretty good, but needs egg whites without the yolks, so the recipe isn't a favorite. I had found a new recipe elsewhere for Almond Chocolate Chip Cookies that used almond flour, w/ whole eggs. Turned out great, and the almond flavor was good. This 32 oz bag contains 8 cups of almond flour (+2 tablespoons). The best by date is unknown, as the year is on the top line is unreadable. However, the bottom line shows a date of January 2024, which I assume is the manufactured date. When I opened the bag I received on April 23, 2024, I was surprised that it was a bit clumpier than I was expecting given prior experience with the product. The smell test was neutral, not a strong almond smell, nor was it rancid or stale, so I used it. Nuts and nut flours need to be kept cool even if they aren't open yet. I have the rest of the bag in the freezer - which is the best place to store it.

Yummy and quality almond flour!
This is nice almond flour! It isn’t the most fine powder I’ve tried, but it is pretty good! I used this in a flour-free cake recipe, and it worked out great. It’s a great replacement for regular flour and tastes great!
