I typically use these budget range flat cables to connect peripherals and devices to the LAN we have at home.Rather than use these cheaper cables, still good, for the LAN itself. I much prefer rounded SSTP / SSTF type for running over the LAN.These cables, 32AWG rated, are claimed to be STP...Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) cables also have twisted wires, which are then wrapped with a shielding or screening material, typically a foil wrapping or a copper braid jacket.I have not cut one open to check to see if the yare able to have twisted pairs of cables then wrapped in a screening material like foil and still fit within such a very flat cable...! That is really ambitious...!But, I did test this cable out at 1Gb LAN speeds and reached the speed of 114MB/S as expected. So it does what it is wanted for and does so consistently.Just be careful when placing so you do not kink it, if you do that can damage the rather delicate cable.The plugs seem fine and locate well.With the caveats mentioned I would still recommend these cheaper LAN flat cables. So very affordable and easy to fit, if care is taken. Good for under carpets as well.I do hope this has been helpful.

Does the job, minimal space in a comms cabinet.The only issue, they include a pack of small zip ties. These are a nightmare when non-techies use them instead of reusable cable tidies, and you never have a pair of snips to remove them.

Perfect for the task at hand, shorter cable so less clutter and delivers ample speed.

I recently upgraded my home networking and needed new cables to support gigabit connectivity. These 3m cables are the perfect length for my home office where the router sits next to my desk. Even though I don’t need a flat profile for this use case, the thinness of these cables makes them way more flexible than standard CAT 6.

I have a ubiquity network and I bought these cables to link the router to some wall cockers and POE powered WiFi routers. 2 of the 4 devices I connected with these cables reported a bad connection. It’s a shame because they are lovely thin and neat.

Can't comment on durability since I just got these cables. They were well priced and very flexible. Thus they were easy to work with and coil up the excess.
