This has been tested out by my husband who works as an electrician/painter/decorator/gardener/car mechanic. He pointed out that he liked the fact that it's not a massively large grinder but that it's strong enough for what he needs and uses it for. He also likes that it comes with everything you might need in order to start using it: discs and brushes. In his line of work, he never knows when he might have to cut through a piece of metal (screw, pole, iron bench legs, fences, etc.), so this is now securely tucked into his work tool kit. The only point to note is that it's a little bit on the noisy side but when you're cutting through metal, it *is* noisy. He really likes it ad has been using it at least once a day for the past couple of weeks without any issues whatsoever.

It's a powerful angle grinder, with plenty of speed and power. It's easy to use, and it comes with an assortment of cutting disks that are perfect for cutting through metal, tile, stone, and more!The handle is comfortable to hold and easy to maneuver. The safety features make it simple to use without any worries about an injury.Recommended !

TOUGH MASTER Angle GrinderFirst impression of this is that it is heavy for it's size and appears quite robust and of decent build quality, it's also in the same colours as DeWalt power tools so it looks more expensive than it actually costs. It was nice to find a pack of 10 x 115mm metal cutting discs included, although a couple of grinding discs would also have been welcome. It's worth noting that this grinder is compatible with both 115mm and 125mm discs.Along with the grinder you receive a screw in handle which can be mounted on the left or right of the grinder, the handle has a rubber sleeve providing superior grip. Also in the box is a safety guard which covers the disc. I do like the design of this safety guard as it has a quick release lever on the side, you can rotate the cover to suit the angle you are grinding or cutting. With fixed guards I often find they get in the way, there are no such issues with this.To attach and remove discs there is a press button that locks the shaft, this allows the nut to be easily removed with the supplied spanner. The 10 cutting discs are for metal and are provided in a round tin to keep them in good condition. I have found in the past that discs stored in a damp shed can cause the centres to rust, the tin should prevent that from happening.In use the slide power switch locks in place, you can remove your finger from the switch while the grinder is running. On the rear is a small rotating wheel where you can adjust the grinding speed up to a maximum of 10,500 rpm.I must admit that I did find this a little noisy when compared to other similar grinders that I have, although not particularly smooth in operation, it seems to have plenty of grinding power behind it. There are a spare set of brushes included in the box which are useful to have. I did find the metal ring on the main body around the top of the shaft to be very sharp, you may want to place a piece of tape around this or perhaps run a small file over it as I cut my finger on it whilst reviewing this. This grinder is certainly no high end tool, but it does what it's designed for and will suit most people. If you are looking for a professional tool that will provide years of service then this may not be the one. Lightweight easy to use grinder. Unfortunately the discs “included” were rubbish. 1 cutting disc to 1/2 a sheet of corrogated roofing. Not much wonder they were given away. I’d rather have had 1 decent blade than 8 rubbish. So hoping the machine holds up to use with a better cutting disc going forward.

This came at the perfect time, as the old, trusty grinder I have at my workshop packed up! This one took it's place and did the job perfectly, including cutting the super crazy thick security seals they put on containers, and cutting up a load of things so they fit in the van to be taken for scrap - various plastic pipes, aluminium poles, steel rods etc etc you get the idea. The variable cutting speed is something my old one didn't have, and I certainly noticed the difference in speeds and it cut through everything easily as expected. The guard is designed better than my old one too, giving me peace of mind. A good quality unit that works well and includes 10 discs - decent value I think. I'm happy with it for sure!

I was really pleased that it also came with a set of 10 metal cutting discs, so it will be ideal for that use. It also comes with a set of spare brushes, and I have not seen this included in electrical power tools for many a year.The grinder is of average weight, and the support handle can be affixed either side when working or completely removed. On a test cut on some metal I found it cut with ease and the cutting disc wore ok bearing in mind they were included in the price and were not a separate purchase.The variable speed of the machine is controlled by a rotary knob on the rear which is a nice touch. My old angle grinder, whilst a named brand, was fixed speed only.The metal casing around the head in a few places is a tad rough, but it is not really an issue as I always wear protective gloves when grinding or cutting. I was however disappointed to find there was no carry case. The price point it is being sold at is also quite close to bigger name branded grinders which is something to bear in mind i.e. known brand vs unknown brand for a similar price.
