Must buy!!
At first I was skeptical about these products being cheap but I decided to take a risk and purchase one, I required a borescope less than 5mm in diameter to enter the combustion chamber through the glow plug hole, this camera worked a treat and relayed some great imagery, the 2x camera angles you can get are superb and very handy. The connection to my phone via its built in WiFi can be finicky, but the old classic of turn it off and on again seems to get it to connect.

Excellent for all sorts of jobs, but takes a bit of getting used to
I was putting wiring into drywalling, and needed to know where the studs were because my stud detector wasn't giving consistent results. So I needed to have a look. The Desptech is straight forward to set up - you have to connect your phone to its wifi which means you aren't connected to the internet, but the picture is clear and is wherever you want it to be.HOWEVER a camera in a confined space gives a picture which is sometimes difficult to make sense of. For example, if the camera is hard against something and you keep pushing, the cable will just bend. Depstech cable is fairly stiff so it will push itself through rockwool and other materials but obviously not through a wooden stud, and with the camera hard against the stud I couldn't see anything so I didn't realise it wasn't moving.Excellent produce and I'll get used to it over the next few jobs

Works much better than expected
I didnt have high hopes, but i was very impressed. I bought it to look on to a ceiling to see why it was falling, it saved me ripping the upstairs floor up. Camera is fantastic and so useful the have the side camera too!

Awesome bit of kit.
I am in the motor trade and have used many including snap on systems and this is fantastic. I am so impressed how clear and easy to use it is. Very small head so gets in all kind of tiny holes very highly recommend.

seems to do the job
I’ve only given 4 stars as have just received it so don’t know how long it will last. Have used it to check how worn my brake disc and pads are without having to remove the wheels and for finding and retrieving things dropped down nooks and crannies.

let down by the app and micro USB
DEPSTECH 5mm Wireless Endoscope,1080P Dual Lens Borescope Inspection Camera with Light,2.0 Megapixels Snake Camera with Flexible Semi-Rigid Cable for iPhone & Android-16.5FTI obtained this endoscope for the main purpose of bore scoping the engine cylinders of my car for premature bore wear. The main reason I am using this particular endoscope is the fact that it has a side camera. Tring to bend a front camera only scope cable is a no go in small areas, so this was ideal. The interface unit is plastic but feels fine, it has an on off switch and a roll wheel for the LED light intensity. The charge port however is the older orientation dependant Micro USB. Come on Deepstech, USB-C has been the standard format for some time now!I tested the app on my iphone and installation was reasonably easy. Annoyingly, the app forces you to use it in landscape mode. This is ok and you can change it in the settings to landscape if you want to but the on screen menus are then slightly cut off and stay in landscape orientations. Yes, small things maybe but irritating nonetheless. The picture quality seems ok, and is a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 which is 1080P. For the job in hand it will be fine. The cable although stiff, and is 16.5ft long, which is enough for most people’s needs I feel. The LED light goes very bright which is good. With a better app and a USB C port this would be a 4 star review, it all depends on how important these things are to you.

Great camera
Picture quality is great from both cameras. Better than a snap-on one I have. Really good buy.

Works great for automotive
Picture is super clear. Device is easy to connect to my phone and tablet. Holds a great charge. Easy to use and switch between the different settings.Dual camera is a fantastic feature when looking down into a cylinder. Would recommend if you’re not ready to invest in a $300 one off a tool truck.

Pretty happy again
I've bought a couple of depatech endoscopes now. This might be my favorite yet.The first I bought was a wireless model, because I thought it would be more convenient since I carry my phone everywhere anyway. Convenience would have been great if not for some connectivity issues. The next I bought was a model with an integrated screen, and it was nice, although not always convenient to lug around. The following, I bought another with an integrated display--with a better cable and a pistol grip, which I thought would be a lot more ergonomic than the prior--and I was right about that. But I occasionally found I still wanted to be able to quickly toss a smaller unit in a bag when maneuvering in small spaces. That all led me to this wireless model. I wasn't sure about going back to a wireless model with my phone as a display, but it seems they've sorted out most (all?) of the issues I had in the past--which I had mostly overlooked for the price of the unit.It works quickly, is easy to connect (no longer do I need to use airplane mode to connect), has much improved picture quality, has a nicer form factor for the battery, and the camera cable itself is nice and thin but rigid enough that it fits into small spaces and stays pretty straight as long as you're not forcing it around a wall.I tested this thing out looking at my garbage disposal, and I was pleasantly surprised how clearly I could see how gross it was down there. Remind me not to do that again unless I get w clog...Overall I really like this device. It isn't going to be used for my heavier duty duty needs--but for lighter jobs or places I need a smaller camera diameter, it'll definitely be my go to.Regarding price, it seems pretty reasonable to me again. If anything I'd like to see an upgrade pack for $5-10 more that includes a water resistant storage pouch, and maybe a recommended way to mount your phone--thats still something I occasionally have to fiddle with to get a good viewing angle depending how I'm pushing the camera. But there are plenty of random phone stands or magnetic cases that could be bought separately if needed, so it's hard to find a fault with leaving that cost out.

Best house maintenance tool yet!
After seeing a stellar review by Adam Savage about the benefits of this device for household maintenance, I bought it with hopes that I wouldn't need to use it. This week, the need arose in the form of a dryer vent blockage warning by my dryer, first a d80 code, then a d95 code (95% blocked) and then it simply wouldn't dry anything. My attempts to clear the blockage with a snake brush were unsuccessful. No notable lint was extracted. So I taped this flexible camera to my flexisticks that came with the duct brush and sent the camera through the pipe. It's amazing how much detail the front and side cameras provided as I snaked it through. (I followed the advice of others, first turning off my phone's wifi and then specifically connecting with this camera's local dedicated wifi and it worked like a charm) I had a little trouble when lint covered the camera and when the side camera came too close to the side of the tube, both situations resulting in blurry images or an error message and no image. But I was able to easily remedy these by cleaning the camera or switching to the front camera. Eventually, I found the problem as the stunning images of big drops of reflective condensation on the underside of the roof dryer vent flapper came into focus. The flapper was stuck in the closed position. Because I had the camera taped slightly below the top of the flexistick, I was able to bump the stick against the flap, reorient the stick by twisting the other end that was in my hand, 15 feet distant from the roof top, and voila, I got the flap unstuck. The clothes are drying again and I made the decision to reroute the vent to the nearest side of the house where it won't need a spring loaded flapper. This camera and 15 minutes made all the difference in getting dry clothes, and more importantly, avoiding a house fire! The camera's resolution is exactly what I needed to see what was going on. The frame rate is sometimes a tad slow, but I had extra seconds to wait until the next image appeared in sharp detail. The built-in battery ran down in about ten minutes, but the camera continued to work great with the aid of a USB powerbank that I kept connected for the remainder of my effort. It was good to see that it could simultaneously charge it's internal battery and continue to function while having the microUSB plug connected to the USB powerbank. Adam was right again!!!
