Excellent quality and the best price on Amazon!
I was honestly surprised by how great this carry-on is. The quality of the materials feels premium, and the wide handle design makes it super comfortable to maneuver. It’s lightweight, sleek, and perfect for both quick trips and longer travel when packing smart.Among all the options I checked, this one had by far the best value for the price. If you're looking for a reliable, well-built suitcase without breaking the bank, this is the one. Highly recommend the SOMODE 20”!

Gorgeous Case w/Great Organization Features
This is a beautiful piece of luggage. I purchased the white with silver hardware. The white material is matte and slightly textured. It seems very sturdy and well made. The wheels roll very smoothly and the latches to open the laptop compartment and the large compartments operate smoothly as well. The interior organizing dividers are really well thought out and designed. I especially like the wet compartment to use for lotions or other items that could leak. The case is just a slight bit larger than the stated 22 x 14 x 9. The tag that comes with the case states it to be 22 x 15 x 10. In reality it is 22 x 14 x 9.75. Hopefully it will be okay to use as a carry-on. I wouldn't want to check this because it is just too beautiful to allow it to be tossed around by airline workers. Also, mine did not include any instructions for how to operate the locks, but a simple google search on how to operate TSA approved combination locks gave me the required info. Great case and I am looking forward to using.

Stuck handle
While I really like the wide handle and the slick design, the handle got stuck in the extended position in the middle of my trip. I couldn’t even pass the security because they were not allowing a carry on bag with extended handle inside the x-ray machine. I still very much like it but its useless after only a few months of usage.

Sturdy - a nice 'home base' on wheels
I purchased the Somode for a 3 main reasons:1. I wanted a hard shell roller bag as I have a large weekend bag I also travel with and like to set on top ; I'm hoping the hard shell will provide it with more support (as my soft side roller bag collapses under its weight).2. I really like the idea of the front compartment for my laptop and other things I want within quick reach without having to open the main clamshell compartment.3. I like that the interior compartments on either side of the clamshell could be closed. One side can be completely zipped up and the other can be latched down, so things don't fall out when the bag is opened when it's standing up.So far, the Somode carry-on has been with me on a few trips and so far I am very happy.1. Even compared to my 3-yr old soft side Tumi roller bag, the Somode maneuvered very smoothly and the wheels did a nice job over low pile carpeting and typical airport floors. Even my friends who gave it a test drive were impressed with how nicely it rolled. While I don't think the telescoping handle feels as sturdy as my Rimowa, it doesn't feel flimsy either. I hope it stand ups over time.2. The front laptop compartment was SO HANDY, I love how I can fit my laptop and extra monitor in there and easily access them when going through security when needed. No need to go into the main compartment for necessary essentials.3. I found that when I did need to get into the main compartment, that I could do so with all four wheels on the ground and the case could remain standing. This came in handy in busy areas where there's limited room to open up a suitcase completely.4. The dividers in the main compartment of the bag are also nice. I LOVE all the storage compartments in the two dividers; these came in handy for extra cables and other little things I didn't need a lot but wanted to make sure they were secure like cards, jewelry, etc.The Somode fit in all overhead bins except for regional jets. Then I had to gate check.Only a few trips in and so far I am extremely pleased. For now, I can confidently say it will replace my soft side Tumi as my main carry on luggage. If I can get a few years of use out of it, it will be a worthwhile investment. I'm considering buying one in black as a gift for a friend who travels frequently.

Checks all the boxes
I wanted a carry-on with these features:1. zipperless + TSA locks2. durable aluminum frame3. durable polycarbonate (PC) body panels4. wide handles to maximize internal space5. quality wheels6. InexpensiveThese are all common luggage features but it’s surprisingly difficult to find one piece of luggage with all of them. This is one of the few.It has no external zipper/s and is secured with two latches made partly of metal and plastic. They seem sufficient for keeping it closed during transit, but a determined thief could pry or bust them off easily. It has a relatively wide aluminum frame around the middle where the two halves join together. The rest of the body is Polycarbonate, and blends well with the aluminum frame colorwise (silver edition). Somode claims it’s high quality PC from German company Bayer, so we’ll see how well it holds up.The wide handles do indeed improve the internal space usage a little compared to my narrow-handled successor. In a carry-on this matters, and I don’t get why all carry-ons aren’t made this way now.The wheels are Japanese Hinomoto and seem smooth and quiet. We’ll see how well they hold up this year too.It also has a way to secure an AirTag internally. You can unzip the internal lining and secure an AirTag around the handlebar tube, then zip it back, hiding the AirTag somewhat. See picture attached. At under $200 it’s inexpensive, and if it holds up for a few years of regular business travel it could be a great buy. We’ll see. I just received it and haven’t flown with it yet, will update after some mileage with it.

Lite and roomy.
This is an impressive roller. I love that the handle does not rob space from the clothes storage area. Looks very expensive and well made.

Smooth n quiet wheels
This is amazing. I bought it last year and I just want to say I’m here the wheels feel very premium. Nice and quiet and smooth. I had a friend that pushed my carry on and he was also impressed that it’s so smooth.
