I've got a very mixed history with adapters. Many don't work at all, some don't work well, and some work for awhile...until they don't. I've had this one for over two years. It looks crazy with all of the cables plugged into it, but Apple doesn't like to put more ports on a machine than Steve Jobs thought we'd need...so this thing is needed. This is the best one I've used, too. It has worked perfectly under various loads...right now I'm refurnishing my office so it's on fairly light duty...but it always works. Nothing has gotten loose, no shorts, no complaints. Make more of this stuff, please.

What's not to like?

I’ve bought two of these adapters so far and have been beginning to see a slight problem with them, they stop working quickly. When I first bought the adapter, it worked wonderfully and I was so impressed with all the different types of plugs it could be used with. However after a month or so, the adapter started disconnecting at random or when I slightly move the adapter- it would disconnect and eventually the adapter completely stopped functioning. I thought it was probably just that one adapter so I went to buy another, but now I’m having the same issues as before.

My MacBook only has c and this helps adapt to it

Using this dock on a Macbook Pro 2017 I have found that it loses USB connections from time to time.  To restore the connection I have to unplug the device and plug it back in.  The HDMI maintains connection all of the time. The primary reason for getting this dock was so that my USB devices were ready to use when I take my laptop out to my office.  Having to troubleshoot it until the devices work causes unnecessary frustrations.

The unit is compact and well-made.Unfortunately, my PC did not support this for HDMI or PD functions, it's just too old.I was able to plug this into my laptop's lone USB-C port and it gave me two USB-A ports to use for my wired keyboard and mouse.The unit has an HDMI port on it, but it would not work with my PC. My laptop's USB-C port does not support video output.Same with PD charging, not supported by my laptop.One thing I wish this unit had is an audio jack so I could plug my speakers or headphones in.So, in conclusion, the device seems to do what it advertises, but I should have looked more closely at my laptop's capabilities before getting this unit.

Love this hub I actually use it for both my laptop and as a power device to charge and power stuff when I am traveling because it is able to be powered by a power brick. It is nice and sleek in design and all the ports work well. I didnt have time to test speeds but they were decent though I noticed my external SSD was not performing at full speed.

This device works well when connected to my macbook. All ports work, and I was even able to daisy chain two of these to provide even more usb ports for my setup. Highly recommend this product for the price.
