Great Clarinet
About three years ago my oldest daughter started band and wanted to play a clarinet. After borrowing the school's clarinet, she decided she wanted her own so I ordered her an Etude. That has been a good little clarinet but after three years one of the latches on her case broke so I started looking for a new case. The cases I found ranged from $30 to $50 and I just decided to get her this clarinet with a zippered case for $89 and she would have a back-up clarinet too. Well, I got it (and a flute for my middle daughter) in the mail this week and she loves the clarinet and said it's easier to play than the Etude she has. So the Etude is now her back-up and she is using the Hallelu all the time. I don't know how long it will last but it seems to be a great little clarinet for marching band.

Impressive!
I've owned this clarinet for a month now. When I got it, I was extremely relieved about how professional and beautiful it looked compared to the price I paid for it. I am still shocked. I don't know anything about clarinets, but I do know that this one is perfectly tuned, it's got a nice feel to it, looks professional and sounds amazing. Because of this clarinet I really don't know the difference between a student and a professional one.Nobody would regret buying this one. I strongly recommend it EVEN for professional players.I'm surprised I'm writing the first review about this clarinet.

Good product for the beginner
I bought it for my 8 year old son. He really loves it. The same exact model costs more than double in the local music store. The school music teacher also says it is a good buy. Build quality is decent and sound quality is reasonable. For beginner's, it is no brainer to go for this one.

Great Company and product!!
I must say that I am so very impressed with Hallelu's customer service. I purchased a clarinet from them about a year ago and all of the sudden some of the keys didn't work. It belongs to my 11 year old son, so he may have done something, or the keys just gave out, I don't know the cause. However, regaurdless of what happened, I sent Hallelu an e-mail describing the problem and they e-mailed me back the next day to inform me that they'd be happy to help. I mailed the clarinet to them on a Saturday afternoon, and recieved it back fully repaired (may have even been a new one) by the following Friday!!! In less than a week, our clarinet was replaced. Now that's awsome customer service!!! Not only that, the clarinet was actually a few days out of warranty, but they still were happy to help me!Thank you so much Hallelu!!!miss t

Does not sound as good as it looks..
I bought this clarinet based on the good reviews and reasonable price but my son's band instructor said it does not sound good and recommended we switch to a rental. Kids learning to play need to play/hear a quality instrument to avoid becoming frustrated.

trouble after 5 months
At first this seemed like a decent product for basic student use. It was much lighter than I expected, however and I questioned its durability. I'm disappointed to say that we are now having trouble after only 5 months. Have already had to have 2 of the pads replaced. I will be looking for a better quality instrument.

Good Enough
I bought this product for my daughter when she was in the 5th grade and we have had no issues. I got the lecture on how we should rent and how we should not buy from anywhere but the local shop. I was not able to financially afford a clarinet from the rental place as it was three times as much as this one. Is it the best one in the world? No. Is it good for beginners, yes. We had one key stick and the shop that repaired it told me that I should have bought a $400 clarinet from them. Really? No, no thanks.
