Great Performance
Totally satisfied with the value of this tool. I do a lot of sanding and polishing with 3 inch disc and I have hundreds of hours on this thing already and no problems. I do use it to drill holes from time to time and that is no problem at all. It also has a lot of torque and that is handy at low speeds. It is a little heavy compared to an air polisher so my wrist had to build itself up to handle it but it does the same job and don't blow out air compressors and does it with a lot less energy. It makes some funny gear noises when running but I haven't seen any problem from that, I have had right angle grinders that had that noise, probably has a worm gear like a grinder.Update: 10-2010, Just bought my second drill. I was drilling some 1" holes through studs and got a snap that I suspected was the shearing of the worm gears as at that point the chuck was slipping. It was OK with me because I had a lot of mileage on this thing. I got the new one and decided to take the old one apart just to see what happened. To my surprise no gear damage at all, in fact it looked as good as new. I cleaned it up and re-greased the gears and put it back together. I suspect the case had racked under the torque of the spade bit jerk and slipped over the worm gears throwing the alignment off enough to slip. If there is a weak link here it's the case. Still a remarkable tool for the money especially for sanding and polishing which is why I bought it to start with.

Neiko Right Angle Drill
I read the majority of the reviews of this drill before purchasing and I figured for less than $40 for a right angle drill, how can I go wrong?I purchased this drill because I needed to hang a bamboo shade and two brackets had to be mounted in a 30 degree corner and getting a standard drill in there to drill into cement block was impossible. The shape of the drill and the textured finish was ideal, as the sharp corner for mounting only allowed me to hold onto the drill with one hand, without dropping it.This drill was just the ticket for what I needed! It ran perfectly! Having a variable speed drill for drilling into cement with a 5/32" carbide tip drill worked flawlessly! Not only that, the variable speed drill was also another time saver, as I used the drill to power in the four 3/16" Tapcon bolts. For those of interest, the dimension from the back of the head of the drill to the front of the chuck, retracted all the way is 3 3/4". If you screw out the chuck to it furthest extent, the distance increases to about 4 1/8"There must have been some really duds that were sent out as the reviews don't lie. If I was asked if this was a good deal, I have to say YES! Even if I never use this drill the rest of my life, $40 for a right angle drill is a steal! After drilling four 5/32" holes into cement block, this drill is just like brand new! The only down part of the whole deal is that it's made in China! But, what else isn't and we are all out there looking for a really cheap deal and you won't find it with Americna Made products, even if they are made better.

Functions well
It fits my hands well. It's not very fast, or powerful, but for the money it works good enough. It gets the basic jobs done. Primarily I use this as a backup on projects.

Neiko CQ drill is a poor clone of a Milwalkee drill
I have owned and relied upon a 3/8" CQ right angle drill motor built by Milwaukee, for nearly a decade. When I saw this Neiko CQ, I was impressed with the low price and apparantly identical tool. When I opened the box, I noticed the "Made in China" label on it. I placed the new drill motor next to my venerable Milwaukee drill motor and they were, by all appearances, absolutely identical! So I placed my old Milwaukee into the back of my toolbox drawer and placed the new CQ on my work cart. The first hole I drilled, 5/16" into a 1/4" thick steel plate, stripped the internal gears of the drill motor, rendering it perfectly useless. I read the 'warranty' instructions and determined them to be too convoluted and difficult, so I decided to use the parts from the clone to upgrade my old Milwaukee. But when I opened the Neiko CQ, I discovered the reason it failed. Even though the parts are similar, they don't have the same close tolerances of my old Milwaukee and are not made of the same materials. The gear set in the clone were so sloppy, they were actually able to walk over each other and shortly afterward, strip. Pure junk!I blame myself for falling for a deal that I thought was 'too good to be true' well it was..

So Far So Good
Purchased this for power sanding on a wood lathe. So far it's great for that purpose. The ergonomics are good, the variable speed works well, and it has plenty of power for the job (which isn't saying much). A keyless chuck would have been nice, but the chuck key has a keeper built into the power cord where the cord enters the drill, and it stays put during use, so it's not too bad. Definitely a 5 star for the price for now - we'll see how long it lasts. If the motor goes, ok, sanding duty can be hard on these motors, but if the gear train goes, the rating gets dropped a lot.Edit: After ~ 2 yrs the drill slowed and was screeching. Disassembly confirmed that the rear motor shaft bearing was really rough. The housing was packed up with sawdust. All the other bearings were good. I replaced both motor shaft bearings with sealed bearings (the oem bearings are just shielded) and it is up and running. I purchased another one of these when the 1st one acted up. It only took a few weeks of use for the same bearing to get rough. Replaced the bearings in the 2nd one (I ordered a 10 pack) and both are now running well. I removed all the gear grease while apart and waxed the gears up well so that sawdust would not collect in the housing. For the price it's still a winner.

Great for lathe bowl sanding
I use it almost exclusively for sanding lathe turned wood bowls with a 3" hook and loop sanding discs. Works great for that. With bowl mounted on lathe at low speed I use this to run through the sanding grits from low to high to get scratchless sanded bowls. Very pleased, greatful for the recommendation to buy this. Great value for the price.

Good valve. A tad heavy
Well made and quite durable. My one disappointment was the weight initially but it gets better with use. Builds up the hand and wrist muscles! It is not variable speed and gets warm with continuous use. I am using as an orbital sander in a dusty wood shop and it functions quite well.

Worked for a year……disappointed
I bought this angle drill after lots of research. It worked well (sanding bowls) for less than a year then all of a sudden started making large grinding noises when sanding and powering down. Pretty sure it’s the clutch. I like the product and want it fixed. Messaged seller through Amazon, no response yet. Messages manufacturer through website, no response……..disappointed
