Powerful and very effective leaf blower
Previously I used an old 36Volt Bosch leaf blower and when (after many years) this finally died I bought the latest version of it. I am very pleased with that purchase, which was money well spent. It is powerful enough to blow stubborn piles a of leaves into a heap for easy collection. Its three power modes allows controlled blowing and saves on battery usage where that power is not necessary - so that the battery lasts longer. Altogether I am very pleased with it. Also, having a battery which is compatible with my Bosch Hedge Cutter battery is a bonus when doing larger jobs.

A compromise - but a good one
We have quite a collection of Bosch products that all use the same 18v or 36 v batteries and each one has proved to be a top-class product. Yes, we are Bosch fans! This 36v leaf blower is, however, a bit of a compromise and, although we really do like it, if you are thinking of buying one, I think you need to know what you are getting. Compared with the class-leading power delivered by the Worx WG584E 40v leaf blower, for example, this one is noticeably less powerful; in fact, the Worx blower is like a hurricane in comparison. But does that matter? Well, in some ways, not at all; bit in some ways, well, it depends on you! It certainly doesn't matter in the sense that the Bosch does do exactly what it is designed to do: it clears dry leaves, and does so very effectively. But it will matter if you want a hurricane-force blower, as, if you are expecting that, you'll feel a bit let down. But keep in mind the compromise and the laws of science: the Worx battery on full power lasts a measly 10 minutes, whereas the Bosch lasts well over half an hour. Also, the Bosch is very attractively styled, is very compact, and is balanced so well that its weight isn't really noticeable in the hand. Its smaller nozzle however, means that the power is directed over a smaller area compared with the wide open nozzle of the Worx model. This means it takes a bit more effort and time to do the job. The smaller shape, however, also makes the Bosch useful in more places. We use ours to blow the dust from the car before hoovering, or even to dust behind radiators and around our TV and piano. So, it's a compromise, but in the end, I think the Bosch will win the day for most uses and most people. We like it a lot.

Well made, powerful leaf blower, but chews through batteries
This is a great leaf blower, and is certainly more powerful, lighter and easier to use than my old wired blower. The blowing power can be adjusted with a rotary dial near the trigger, and in most cases (apart from wet leaves on wet grass) it only needs to be on one of the lower settings. My only criticism is that if you have it on any power setting above half way, it chews through the battery, lasting 10 minutes at most. I bought a second battery and that, combined with a judicious use of the power, means I can clear my garden and patio in one session. But buying a second battery is a fairly expensive solution, hence 4 stars and not 5.

Brilliant
This is an excellent bit of kit. It out does my petrol blower easilky and with me having a new and back to front shoulder, is easier to use. Not sure why they ask how it sucks or drys as it is a leaf blower or to be used for blowing garden waste into a pile. To my knocledge it doesn't suck like a hoover at all, so why as the question? Weight wise, it isn't that much different to my petrol one. I use a 4ah battery so that makes a difference. Just the fact i don't have to pull start it a few times to get it going is a blessing. I'm actually waiting for the leaves to drop now so i can use it in earnest. Just a shame Bosch insists on charging so much, especially for the battery, which cost me more or less the same as the blower. I did not buy my battery from amazon though. Search around and you will get it for about £100 less on other sites.

OK Machine but overpriced when compared to other cordless leaf blowers
This leaf blower struggles on heavy wet sycamore leaves on my lawn but worked really well on lighter wet beech leaves. It had no problem at all clearing wet leaves off my tarmac path. It weighs around 2Kg on my bathroom scales - so is very easy to handle. The battery lasted for 20 minutes on full which was enough time to clear light wet leaves of my 250 m² un-mowed lawn. The battery takes an hour to recharge. I paid £203.10 for this blower with the battery and charger - which I think is overpriced hence the 3 star rating. I suppose it's ok if you have other Bosch gardening tools which can use the same battery and charger - you can buy the bare tool for about £105 elsewhere on Amazon at the moment

Wouldn’t want to be without one now
I regret not buying a leaf blower before this autumn, as trying to clear up the fallen leaves with a rake has been hard work, especially when they have landed on gravel. With trees and shrubs that shed their leaves over a period of several weeks, it’s not a job you can leave until the last one has dropped. The ones at the bottom will get wet and go mouldy and a rotten job becomes a lot worse. One of the benefits of waiting so long has been the improvement in battery technology. I didn’t want a corded leaf blower and having a heavy battery that takes forever to charge and lasts five minutes doesn’t sound like fun. This Bosch blower comes with a 36 Volt 2.0 Amp Lithium-Ion battery along with a charger and replacement/additional batteries seem easy to come by, although not cheap. You can buy batteries with a higher Amperage, but these will be bigger and heavier. The batteries have a simple indicator which shows the remaining charge and they slot easily into the charger. Once the battery is fully charged, you’re ready to go. Using the leaf blower couldn’t be simpler. Assembly is just a matter of attaching the nozzle and sliding the battery into place. Once that’s done it’s a single wheel to switch the blower on and increase/decrease the speed. The longer you have it on a higher setting, the sooner your battery will run down though. In use, this Bosch leaf blower is light and manoeuvrable. The position of the wheel to increase/decrease speed is well placed under the thumb, so you feel like you have a lot of control over the power when you need it. The trickiest bit is trying to chase the leaves to get them where you want them to be, this can be made even trickier if the wind is blowing against you. It’s hard to say how long the battery lasts from fully charged, but I’d roughly expect to be able to use it for a couple of 20-25 minute sessions before having to recharge it again. As a said at the start of this review, I regret not buying a leaf blower sooner - but I’m delighted with this one and for general home use would happily recommend it due to its lightness, ease of use and good battery life.

Battery failed within 14 months
I brought this Bosch leaf blower and within 14 months, the battery has failed to charge. I'd brought this product for a second time, because yes, it performs well as a blower. However, that's 2 batteries that have failed within less that 18 months. I thought I was unlucky or had done something wrong with the first one, but clearly these are not fit for purpose. Having learnt from the last failure, I always made sure that the battery was not discharged fully during use, kept regularly charged during the summer and I charged it fully before it went into storage. The battery has always been stored and charged in the house. I've have no problem with any other of my other battery garden equipment which are kept in the same way. Basically, if the battery fully discharges it no longer re-charges. Unsatisfactory and not fit or purpose for garden equipment that is put away for the winter. The battery is only waranteed for a year, so Bosch don't want to know. I'm stuck with 2 barely used bodies. It's been a £400 mistake for 2 blowers - I'd never touch Bosch with a bargepole again.

BRILLIANT 👍👍👍👍
So good are these leaf blowers I’ve actually now just bought my second one of them. The first one I bought four years ago is still going strong. At the time I bought my first one four years ago I also purchased a second battery with it. Now that I’ve bought this second one means I’ve now got a third, brand new battery. Mind you, the first two batteries are still going great. I love these blowers because they’re so light and handy for getting me into tight spaces, like behind our garden shed and behind hedges too. Ok I get about 20 minutes out of each battery before needing to replace it. But I can get a lot of leaves cleared away in those 20 minutes. I’ve also bought myself a Bosch corded/electric blower too for the bigger jobs which is really powerful. By the middle of December all those leaves are gone for another year. Everywhere is clean and tidy, as if not even a single leaf had ever fallen. I also bought the Bosch cordless grass strimmer which uses the very same 36v batteries so happy days. Bosch products have really helped make my life a thousand times easier when it comes to keeping our garden tidy. Even our hedge cutters are now Bosch Cordless too. All purchased from Amazon Prime. I rate this leaf blower very highly as I do my other Bosch products. Excellent service and products from the seller. Very, very pleased with my purchase.

Puissance. Attention énergivore en Batterie
Conforme aux attentes. Attention néanmoins, très energivore en batterie. Opter pour une 36v 4ah. Durée d’utilisation d’environ 10 minutes sur une batterie de 36v 2ah.
