Not real USB and has static with 3.5mm jack....
These headphones aren't USB driven headphones. You have to use the separate 3.5mm mic and speaker cables for them to work. The USB appears to only power the lights. This isn't what is in the description and it doesn't meet my needs. When I did connect the 3.5mm headphone plug into my computer there is a bunch of static. I question the validity of the other reviews due to these issues.

Non-functional USB device. Decent stereo sound.
Good sound through the stereo jacks. The supposed USB "7.1" chip? Lights up the greenlights. Otherwise completely non-functional.Unfortunate, since they're nice looking, comfortable. But of the reasons I got them was for the USB functionality. I could spend less than $48 for comfortable cans with no USB functionality.In retrospect, also more than a little suspicious about 200+ reviews with only one of them less than 5 stars. While nice, these are not a 5 star headset.

Nothing but pure static with the xbox!RIPOFF!!!!

Trashy.
The one that arrived at my house was, in one word, unuseable. The audio cut out everytime it moved, and the audio quality when it did work was terrible. Really the only plus was that it looks cool.

Just like any other headphone/earphone problem the jack where the 1/8th inch cables go into are bad. Ordered the item twice and both times out of the box I had to mess around with the cable a few different angles in order for them to have full sound. I don't recommend these...
