Peel backing off
When feeling the backing off just peel the thin clean film off. The white adhesive backing will come off if you get under it.

Good reflectivity, bad adhesion on curves
Reflectivity is great, very visible.That tape sticks well on flat surfaces. It is terrible on curved surfaces, it peels off very easily. Heating the tape with a heat gun after installation helps a bit.

Great tape! Used a heat gun to "seal to the surface"
This is great reflective tape and 100x better than the cheap tape from HF discount stores. Installed 60' over sharp edges and 90deg corners of galv metal structure for a scouting project. Stuff holds great, even in storms and rain.Will buy again. (please note: I was unable to test the "easy to remove" rating question as this stuff stuck great and did not try to remove it).

This tape does NOT stick
I purchased this tape to place on a flat painted steel surface. The painted surface is steel used in steel building construction. It was very clean and dry and the tape was applied and cured at 70 degrees (over 24 hours). I applied even strong pressure to make sure the tape was completely bonded to the metal surface. When the metal plates were placed outside and the temperature dropped to about 42 degrees, the tape just fell off. I also didn't find the tape to be reflective except when light was perpendicular to the surface. The fact that the adhesive didn't work and the reflectivity was no good at any angle other than straight on made this product absolutely useless for me. I wouldn't suggest anyone purchase this product.

Works great and can be seen at night.
Did not try remove it. I put it on a 2 inch metal pole to mark the mail box for winter. The town plow knocked the mail box down last year and refused to pay for it. Now he will know if he hits it.
