Fits 1911 mag perfectly
Perfect fit. Leather is good quality.

Just a tad too loose!
Works fine with my 1911 .45 ACP mags but my .380 sits a little too loose so I wedged a folded up instruction sheet of paper in between the mag and the wall and that secured it! This holder matches my belt and leather holster so I tolerate the jerry rigging!

Nice Looking and Functional
Like everything that 1791 makes, it's well made and good-looking. Premium leather and great stitching. I love it!

It is worth it!
For my .45 ACP S & W Shield single stack mag It was extremely tight, and I could hardly pull the mag out of the holster. So, I applied some holster grease, that came with my pistol holster, worked it in for a while and now it works perfect. The only thing I would like to see is an adjustment screw to loosen or tighten the holster as you see on a lot of pistol holsters.

Amazing quality leather and workmanship. Too tight? Hints are below.
This is a gorgeous, well crafted piece of leather workmanship, made in the U.S.A. I have been using a plastic magazine holder for my Kimber .45 ACP, it works but likes to wiggle on my belt a lot. This 1791 single stack magazine holster with double loops belts nice and tight against my side, just how I wanted it.My friend has been using the same plastic mag holster as I. I sent him a photo of this as soon as I got it, and he's looking at them online right now!As others have stated, the fit can be Golly Miss Molly TIGHT! But follow the instructions, be patient, and work with it.My only regret is that my handgun holster material preference is Cordora and not leather, because I would love to have a matching leather handgun holster if I did.UPDATE: To get mine to accept a magazine, I had to soak mine in water, as some others have. I soaked mine for a couple hours in hot water. Then I was able to insert an empty mag by pushing slowly but firmly until it was seated. After that I set in front of the woodstove to dry. (Air drying will work also, please DO NOT put it in your oven!!). After it was dry, the magazine seemed a little loose in the holster, but when it's belted to my side, the retention is perfect! After that, I rubbed it down with some BICK 4 leather conditioner. This all may seem like a lot of work but it's no different than waiting for a good pair of work boots to break in. It's worth the time.If you need to do this, you will see some color from the tanning process in your water. My water was completely brown, but it didn't change the color at all. So if you experience this, don't freak out, it will be fine.

Well made
This is a robust leather mag holster. If you buy it you won't be disappointed. Mags fit like a glove. I did not break it in because I wanted the mags to fit slightly snug.
