Contoured torso seams give the Heavenly Long Hooded Jacket a sleek profile and trim fit. Geometric stitching patterns on the water resistant shell create a strong design aesthetic. And the full-zip front with extended hem design and SCUBA style hood maximizes your protection from the cold.Insulation: Synthetic down 100% polyester. Use a soft, flexible tape measure from a sewing kit. A metal tape measure from your toolbox or a yard stick may give you inaccurate readings. Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level. Waist: Measure around the natural waistline, allowing the tape measure to sit comfortably. Sleeve: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the wrist. Round up to the next even number. Review: Columbia never lets me down - I'll start by saying that I am already a huge fan of Columbia outerwear. I've owned jackets and fleece from them for years. They are designed for real people who spend real time outdoors...you know...for those of us who do more than just run from the car into a grocery store. After a hip surgery gone bad that has left me less active than before, I have gained some weight...not much, just enough that my existing Columbia Mighty Lite jacket can't have layers added underneath. I can still wear it, but there are times when I need to warm it up with extra clothing under it. So I went in search of a longer jacket that I could size up for layering. I couldn't tell by the descriptions of this hooded jacket and the Columbia Mighty Lite hooded jacket what the real differences are...so I ordered both, knowing that one would go back. I ordered them both in black and did a side by side comparison. At a glace, they look pretty much the same. Both are beautiful. And both fit pretty much the same, although this one (the Heavenly) had a bit more room through the shoulders which I love. The Heavenly has a black fleece-like fabric inside the hood...the Mighty lite does not. For this reason, the Heavenly coat's hood stayed on my head better and was definitely warmer. While both jackets seem to be the same thickness and weight, the Heavenly was warmer than the Mighty lite. The Heavenly jacket has quilting stitches that run through all of the fabric panels, the Mighty lite does not...the quilting stitching is only on the outside fabric. I don't know if this makes a difference in warmth or not. But the Heavenly felt warmer, which is what I wanted. Both jackets have an inner zip pocket at the chest and both have thumb-cuffs at the wrists. The sleeves are plenty long which I love. Often, when I forget to wear gloves or think it's warm enough that I don't need them and end up wanting them, I love to be able to just pull the coat sleeves down over my hands. Problem solved. Both jackets have the obvious quality feel that one expects from Columbia. In the end, I kept the Heavenly and sent the Mighty lite back due to the warmer feel of the Heavenly. The true test came when I walked the dogs in it on a 45 degree day. I was PLENTY warm in it...and at times a bit too warm. This made me happy, as I got this jacket for temps that are colder than this. I have other jackets that will work in 45 degrees. I'll be testing it more when winter arrives (it's fall now). Review: Reversible Zipper….huge deal!!! - This coat is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that covered my butt but not too long, puffy but not Michelin Man puffy, warm with lining and most importantly, a reversible double zipper for driving/sitting. I’ve had this coat about a month now and I’ve worn it in the rain and freezing cold. I’ve worn it with just a t-shirt in 40 degree weather and was not cold at all. The thermal lining protection is awesome!! On days where it’s been a bit colder, I worn a light cardigan sweater with it and it was perfect! I would say it’s definitely true to size, I normally wear a 2x so that’s what I bought and it fits perfectly and I even have room for a thick sweater underneath and it still felt very comfortable and I was able to move freely and I did not feel restricted at all. It is definitely water resistant in the rain as well. My favorite part of the coat is the reversible zipper. With my other coats, I would always have to either take my coat off when driving or leave it unzipped and both are not very convenient at all. Especially leaving it unzipped as that would cause more disfunction while driving as the coat would always be in the way of the seatbelt or make me feel restricted. Even the pockets are lined with fleece!! If you like all these amenities and you’re thinking about purchasing this coat, think no more!! 😊

super comfy & warm!
beautifully made! it is warm and wind proof and FINALLY a coat with long arms :) I’m 5’ and am blessed with long arms. usually sizes S or M have shorter arms that ride up when you stretch out your arms. not this coat! it’s perfect and the wrist cuffs are good quality and very comfortable. the zipper was a bit sticky at first so I rubbed the starter grooves with wax paper - regular kitchen wax paper crumpled up - which leaves no residue (also works great for sliding doors!), and that did the trick! being able to reverse zip from the bottom up to have more width when getting in and out of the car is an added bonus! I wasn’t sure about the glittery silver lining at first, but have grown to love it. it is silky to slide into and does the promised job of keeping you warm. the black is a bit more charcoal than a true black, but it looks great regardless. this is an awesome lightweight coat and I would love to have the same one in red :)

Warm, lightweight and stunning!!
This jacket is definitely worthy of a 5 star rating in every category. Warm, well made, flattering fit, attractive. Having warm, well made clothes in the winter is important, however, if they also fit well, are not bulky, and are flattering then, that is a wonderful bonus. Though it is very warm, partially due to the innovative lining, I believe it could work as a mid-weight in milder temperatures.

Overall great everyday coat
This coat is lovely . It's my go to coat. Light weight and warm. Great length for cold weather . Comfortable in 40° without layering. I don't love the shimmery silver interior ... but I get that it has a purpose and I got used to it . I'm about 45 pounds and I usually like a fitted look and go for a small. I'm a D cup and with this coat I needed a Medium. It is quite flattering even though it's not too fitted . It really just depends on your body shape . Overal definitely a quality product and worth the purchase . I got Columbia coats for my whole family this year and they are all happy .

Love this coat
I absolutely love this coat. I had originally brought another Columbia coat in a 2 plus, it fit, but i was afraid I wouldn't be able to wear a heavy sweatshirt with it, so I had to return it. I bought this one in a 3 plus, I probably could have gotten a 2 plus, but it still looks great, it's not bulky at all and I have lots of room for clothes underneath it. So far I've been warm in it, I'm in Ohio and it's been in the 30's. It's very lightweight, but still warm. The girl at work now wants to buy this coat because it's a lot longer then some of the other jackets (this one covers your butt) and this one has a nice hood.

I like how my Columbia brand jacket is not like all other Puffer jackets, My Columbia jacket does not look like I’m wearing a doona LOL
