Moshi Monsters Ice-Scream Cone Chaos Card Game

Love this game. Such a simple concept but brilliant.

We bought this game to take on holiday with our 6 year old Moshi fan. She loved it (and secretly, so did we!)Game consists of two types of cards. The aim of the game is to build an icecream matching one of the two cards face up on the table. Each player receives three transparent cards featuring different components of the icecream (the cone, the icecream, the topping). Once you have collected the matching three elements, the original card is yours. A new card is placed face up, and the game continues. The game ends once all icecreams have been built and the winner is the player with the most icecreams collected.The game takes 20-30 minutes but you can shorten it by using half of the icecream cards which is great for children with a shorter attention span (or when it's getting close to bedtime!).At first, we thought the transparent cards were a bit odd, as the shape (although not always the colour) is obvious from the back, however, we soon realised that this enhances the game by adding a bit of strategic thought.There is also the added excitement of "the golden cone" coming up in the pile - this always gets squeals of anticipation as you see it nearing the top of the pile. The golden cone can be used in place of any element, so it's a quicker way to win an icecream card.A great game, small and compact to store (great for travelling). You only need a tabletop to play (or double bed in a hotel room!) and is enjoyable even for the adults.
