Marvel Comics: A Manga Tribute

A must have for manga fans consisting of very well known manga artist. If you are fans of Udon Entertainment’s great artist you will find this book to live up to that level of artistry.The illustrations only get better by the page.Highly recommend this.

The art featured in this book is great. However, there is a lot of wasted space and lack of content. For example, when it comes to wasted space, there are way too many blank white pages with nothing but a few words on them. Why not use this space to showcase more art or at least, put the descriptions of the artists on these pages rather than collect them together in the back. Also, Yusuke Murata's Spider-Man art, which is featured on the cover, is vastly under represented in this book. He has far more, arguably better, pieces of Spidey art that 100% should have been included in the book. Also, I am not sure what others were expecting, but I was expecting a lot more fan art by mangaka rather than official Marvel comic book art by Japanese artists. So if the former is what you are looking for, Google would be a better option.

Do not let the cover fool you, there are only 2 pages with Murata’s art work. The book is decent for $20, but very misleading, almost all the artist are not manga artist, just Japanese artist who already work on American comics. The art work is mostly issue cover art and maybe like 3 original drawings.
