These things are bomb! The flavor is sooo good and it has the perfect amount of spice. It definitely has a kick but it’s not so spicy that you can’t enjoy it. The heat kind of builds as you eat it which I actually love. The jerky itself is thick and has a really good texture. It’s chewy but not so tough that I feel like I’m fighting for my life trying to eat it. The smoky beef flavor with the spicy seasoning goes together really well. This would honestly be perfect for snacking on while studying or on a road trip or basically anytime I’m hungry and need something quick. My only complaint is that it’s way too easy to keep eating because I definitely told myself I was only going to have a few pieces and then suddenly half the bag was gone Definitely recommend if you like your beef jerky with a little heat! I’d definitely buy this again.

I try to keep these in stock year-round as I like to have a few for a snack while working. The price is very reasonable vs. other jerky brands. The taste is great and they stay fresh for a long time.

These are great but they keep raising the price. Gets any higher and ill just buy the real jerky instead of the pressed left overs. I like the spicey ones. Have the right amount of heat.

I have mixed but mostly positive feelings on this pressed beef jerky. First, the elephant in the room: yes, these are pressed together beef "medallions" of beef jerky and not made from whole strips as you might normally expect. That means, indeed, these are a big step down in terms of texture and mouth feel compared to many brands, including Old Trapper's other varieties. For some that makes these an instant pass. Yet that said, I was surprised how much I liked them. The first few chews are pretty underwhelming but once the flavors start to come out these aren't half bad (for the price). If you like to savor the flavor of your jerky in your mouth after chewing and before swallowing, you might find something you like here, but if you're the chew and swallow type, I'm not so sure. Anyway, they have a medium fat content and lower carbs/sugars than some others, which I actually prefer to so many overly sweet brands out there. One other plus is I like the standard size. Very easy to grab 5 for adding to my lunch. These will never replace the tried and true strips of jerky but they're a decent less-expensive jerky that delivers good bang for buck to me.

I've been so disappointed in most of the jerky made today. Most of it is very mushy and sweet. This Old Trapper Spicy is firm, spicy enough, had great flavor and is very reasonably priced. This isn't one of those tiny bags that leaves you feeling ripped off. This is definitely on my favorites list.

As this is an item hard to find in my area, I'm SO PLEASED I ran into this here. It's amazing, just right level of heat to it and taste heavenly (For to be a jerk)... LOL!

Stuff is good but salt too high for me
