Works with Arduino after hunting for the right software
Works but you need to find the right software for Arduino. You will find it on the product page of waveshare dot com /wiki/7.5inch_e-Paper_HAT_(B)_Manual under "Download the demo".Concerning the cable, don't get fooled by the red cable indicating the power supply to the display, the power cable (VCC) is the gray cable. The red cable is the logical power enable signal (active high). The demo shows one black and white and one red and white logo. The screen goes through many cycles of flickering until the image is built up. The display seems to be only suitable for displaying static content. Nobody would want to see the wild flickering when updating the content often.

Poor documentation and quality of service.
Non-existent documentation, drivers very cumbersome to get to work. Really disappointed with the quality of service here, would recommend avoiding.

Simple, functional, crisp images
Works great and is well supported. Slightly higher power draw during refresh than advertised but nothing unmanageable.

Impressive resolution and performs as expected
The learning curve was tough for me, and like others I struggled to get the right driver and example code... but after that I found it pretty easy to do what I wanted. Well worth the money and for my project the power consumption is zero between screen writes and I am writing to the display every 10 minutes so the overall power consumption is very low. I will buy again.

Great low power screen
Works great with my Raspberry Pi. Took a little while for me to get it working because I didn’t realize the item I had was the HD 880 x 528 version. Once I started using the correct driver and example script, it worked great. Current using it as a cryptocurrency ticker.(That big blue spot on the left is a reflection of a blue light, by the way)

Didn't work
Couldn't figure this out, I ended up sending it back. Plus it heats up

Great display!
The resolution and vibrancy of the display is great. The refresh rate is a little slow, but that's to be expected for e-ink with multiple colors. The manufacturer has libraries written in C and Python --- I've only used the Python one, but it works as intended and is relatively easy to figure out. Definitely recommend for hobbyists!

Works well
Worked well and documentation was easy to read and had good examples to get a project up and running. Draw time is quite slow but to be expected for a color eInk display like this. Packaging was good too.
