Twenty years ago I used to replace batteries when they lost capacity. Since I joined Costco and bought kirkland or duracell batteries I have almost always had to replace batteries because they have leaked.I have spent many hours salvaging equipment, and had to through some as the leak had gone into the electronics, and I wasn't able to access and clean.Nb Costco Kirkland batteries are made by Duracell, and I have had leaks from both, after purchase from Costco

didn't arrive till the 8th Feb but they are brilliant batteries last ages better than any other battery I've used prompt delivery as well I will always use them now great in my camera

I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased them. almost all the batteries leaked, half of them still in the packet unused. Dated 2024. leaked in 2019.

THANKS TO COSTCO AND THEIR TERRIBLE KIRKLAND BATTERY BRAND SEVERAL OF MY BATTERIES LEAKED.I DISCOVERED THIS WHEN I WENT TO USE MY FENIX TK40 TORCH; IT DIDNT WORK - I CHECKED THE INTERNALS AND OF THE 12 BATTERIES AT LEAST 6 HAD LEAKED TO THE POINT IT HAD PART DISSOLVED THE INTERNAL PLASTIC BATTERY CADDY RENDERING IT USELESS. GREAT MY FAVOURITE TORCH DESTROYED, £160 DOWN THE DRAIN!!THEY ARE ALL DATED MID 2017 AND I ONLY BOUGHT THEM ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO. IVE USED KIRKLAND BATTERIES QUITE ALOT AND OF 100'S IVE ONLY HAD 1 LEAK AND THOUGHT IT A ONE OFF.AS SOON AS ID SEEN THE DAMAGE TO THE TORCH I CHECK EVERY ITEM AND REMOVED ALL KIRKLAND BATTERIES - I FOUND MORE HAD LEAKED AND HAD DESTROYED A WIII CONTROLLER.IVE NOW REMOVED ALL OF THESE BATTERIES AND WILL SEEK A REFUND ON THE BATTERIES. I WILL ALSO SEEK COMPENSATION FOR THE DAMAGED ITEMS UNLESS THEY CAN REPLACE THEM.WHAT A JOKE! I WILL BE USING DURACELL AND ENERGISER FROM NOW ON - THOUGH EVEN THESE ARE PRONE TO LEAKING, BUT ONLY THE ODD ONE OR TWO. LUCKILY IN MOST OF MY ITEMS I USE RECHARGEABLES OR PCB PROTECTED AA TYPE BATTERIES (ESPECIALLY FOR POWERFUL TORCHES)
