Solved the problem - 100%.
The media could not be loaded. Solved the big problem which I had - my little Bialetti coffee maker was sitting precariously on the stove top. On more than one occasion it fell over thus spilling hot coffee all over the place as well as breaking the coffee cups. This device has comprehensively solved my problem. Now the coffee sits happily with greatly reduced danger of it overbalancing and crashing everywhere. Please see the video I have attached for a quick demo ;)Win. Thanks!

Good quality gas ring reducer
Heavy (for its size) cast iron reducer made in Italy. The finish is black and a fine grain coarse structure which matches the cast iron frame of the pan supports on my gas hob. It is not enamelled as some people have written and on my item the surface has not degraded after being in a fairly fierce gas flame for more than an hour. The underside has 12 locating lugs and on my hob can move but it will not fall off the existing pan support frame. Also it’s heavy enough for gravity to hold it in place when placing a pan on top.I have now had in daily use for three months and my rating is still 5 star. It still looks as good as when delivered - the surface is not degrading. A pro or a con depending on your point of view - on a gas hob this ring reducer heats up and being a resonably heavy (for its small size) lump of metal it retains the heat when the gas is switched off so that the contents of a pan will continue to cook for a few extra minutes. If you drain a small pan of cooking water and then immediately place the pan back on the top of the reducer the bottom of the pan will get hotter and perhaps burn the bottom layer of what is still in it.

A very useful and sturdy little item
I'm using this small cast-iron adaptor for a small (2 cup) hob-top espresso coffee maker, since even the smallest standard hob pan support on my gas oven is slightly too large, causing my coffee maker to be a bit unstable and occasionally topple over. This new adaptor is perfect for this. It's sturdily made, simple, and should last a life-time. I've now used it every day for several weeks and it's ageing nicely. One of the best buys I've ever made!

Perfect for camp stoves
I use two different Camping gas stoves, the problem I was having was the Stanley adventure cook pot was very unstable on both of my cookers. This has been perfect on both but especially with the pocket rocket 2.I am a lorry driver and I cook my meals whilst my truck is being loaded and unloaded and my cook pot fell off because of the activity on my trailer. This solved the problem.

Very well made and sits permanently on the hob.
Surprisingly, this is more useful than I expected. Although it's not a necessity, it has provided noticeable stability to all of my pots and pans, not just the small, dinky saucepans which have handles heavier than the pan. (And yes, we can finally use our stovetop percolator espresso thing)The quality is good with smooth edges and a clean mould. There are no marks or bumps, it's very uniform. It also scrubs up well after spillages. There are also a few ridges underneath to make them loosely 'slot' onto the iron pan supports on the hob to stop them moving in case you need to slide or adjust a heavy pot.I am very pleased with it and am considering another as my hob burners differ from the usual layout in that they are further apart so pots and pans are very close to the edge of the iron pan supports.

What's listed...
...is not what is delivered.Enamelled it said plain metal it arrived. But no matter it does what is required. Allowing a chocolate jug to sit safely on the small burner.Of more use is it's ability to support a small cast iron casserole on the stove when making rice by the one cup method as preached by Rev Oliver. Once the rice has boiled turn the burner down to minimum and then off three minutes before the full cooking time elapses. The diffuser keeps the pan from getting too hot on the lowest gas setting. The modest lift it provides to the casserole allows the base of the casserole to transfer an even heat right across the underside.Something so simple has changed the way I cook quite considerably and at very little cost. Once you have a diffuser you wonder how you managed before.

This is The Business
Forget all notions of purchasing a cheap, tinny gas reducer ring, which will rust pretty quickly. This one, made in Italy, shipped from Japan is the business. Forged from cast iron, it not only looks great on my Neff hob (which has cast iron pan supports), but it won't rust, fits well and pleases both me and my coffee pot. It arrived within a week. The other cheap one has been sent to that place where all inferior products end their lives.Feels a tad nerdy to wax lyrical about a gas reducer ring ... sometimes a woman has to do what a woman has to do ...

It's worth the extra cost ..and works perfectly
This cast iron hob reducer works perfectly and provides a good, stable base for small pans. It is not sprayed with some nastily smelling 'finish' to make it look good so there are no fumes or smell when you use it - even for the first time. It seems to fit various sizes of smaller gas hob burners. Just make sure it sits centrally because it is not designed to be a tight or snug fit and is ideal for the smaller burners e.g. used for coffee percolating; preventing smaller pots and pans from tipping over - see the pictures. It's a bit pricey compared to others available but is far superior so worth the extra.
