A few years back we were given a coffee machine that used basket-style filters (rather than the more-common cone-shaped filters) and grew to love it, as it made good coffee and more of it than the smaller cone machines we were used to. We struggled to find paper filters for it until we chanced upon these through Amazon, and have been using them ever since, ordering about four times a year. It's good they are unbleached & all that, as they go into the compost. The box they come in is thin, flimsy paper/cardboard and can easily tear or get bashed (not helped by Amazon delivering them in paper bags/envelopes!), but I haven't knocked a star off the rating because the product is so right-on and planet-friendly... so I just reinforce the corners of the packaging with paper tape and get on with it. This usually lasts for the 3 months or so before we need to re-order. As a follow-up, that coffee machine we were given broke down soon after we found the filters, and we struggled to find a replacement that wasn't rather expensive or designed for catering use. These flat bottomed coffee filters are perfect to use in a filter coffee machine that has a mesh filter tray. These mesh trays are meant to be reusable, but I find using these filter papers makes it easier to clean the machine afterwards and to put the coffee grounds into my compost bin without undue mess. These are chlorine free so should give a nice natural flavour to the coffee and are compostable too. Note that these have a flat bottom, so if your filter machine requires a cone shaped filter then these aren’t suitable. Simple, chlorine free filter paper that does the job. Recommended.

Review: Exactly what I needed for an older Morphy Richards drip coffee machine that was missing its permanent filter. These sit neatly in the basket, hold their shape well once dampened, and brewed a clean, good-tasting pot without tearing or collapsing. The 100-pack is plenty for my occasional use and when camping, and the unbleached paper is a nice bonus.

They are too small for the sage precision brewer. I’m using 60 grams of coffee and the brew rises above the filter, there is no way they can do 12 cups. They are very flimsy which makes them difficult to remove without the grounds spilling.

Excellent quality unbleached coffee filters. I always have these on hand in my pantry as they filter more than just coffee through the coffee maker! Also great for filtering hand-squeezed lemons of pulp and seeds, taking out fats from homemade broth or straining applesauce.b
