For lighter weight consumer activities these are well built and extremely handy. I keep a couple on my camera bag and hang items that would otherwise occupy my hands. Recommended for light weight work.

These work great for the intended operation of holding my treking poles to my backpack. Clip them on the backpack then snap the other side to the poles to hold them in an out of the way vertical posture. Tough little clips unbothered by cold temperatures. Would recommend for casual light duty of holding canteens, auxiliary water bottles or roof tarp setups for inclement weather.

1) easy to latch on and off 2) much lighter weight! I did not need the locking biner from Nite Ize for my usage and can recommend these. They are also cheaper!
