The carry case has a velour-type lining - will this stick to the stickiness of the bat? Should I put the bat into a plastic bag inside the carry case?

The bat rubber will wear off about 4 games. Will be fine just in the case. Good alround bat.

Was the rubber put on backwards? The rubber looks like the pips were glued onto the wood. Is this intentional or do I have to fix this myself?

This is intentional. The majority of table tennis rubbers are "reverse" rubbers (aka pips-in). This means the smooth side is facing out. Reverse rubbers are better for generating spin and playing an allround/attacking style of play.

Does the bat come with the rubber already glued on or do we have to do it ourselves?
