This is a great monitor for casual use. If you're a casual gamer or someone who just needs a decent 1080p monitor for entertainment and school work then this monitor is great. I've been using this monitor for a few months now and it just works well and looks good in my setup. The glossy bezels are a nice and not too thick but do attract dust. The matte screen is useful as it doesnt glare as much from lights. The stand is also glossy so that will also attract a lot of dust. That being said, the stand feels a bit wobbly when you attach it at first but once you set the monitor down, it doesn't wobble. The back of monitor looks good with aa matte, wavy design. This is good if your desk is in the middle of a room/office where people are able to view the back of your monitor. It doesn't look ugly. The onky issue I have with it is that the viewing angles aren't that great vertically. You don't have to move up/down much to notice a difference. As this is a budget monitor, there are very limited adjustment options, like swivel, height, or pivot. There is a little bit of tilt. The horizontal viewing angles aren't terrible...they're just alright. TL;DR This monitor is great for casual use, looks good in any setup but has terrible vertical viewing angles. I've been using this since July last year and it has never caused me any problems. The colour balance is really good. I am a digital artist and I need my colours to be accurate. This is as accurate and clear as my pen display, making it simple and easy on the eye to switch art projects from the pen display to this screen and back without it messing up subtle colour differences. The monitor menu is better than most, but generally, I balance my monitors and set them up through the graphics card control program on my computer as I find that gives the best results. I also do some gaming on this and it's crisp, clear and very easy on the eye. It's probably not the latest and greatest ultra-fast response time, but honestly, how much of that is hype to sell to gamers? Overall this is a good monitor, it is lasting well, and it suits me perfectly.

Great moniter. Take nothing away from Samsung, they've made a great screen. Well packaged, great quality, clearly contrasts and sharps. But lacking in the build quality department. Now don't get me wrong, for the price it's what I can live with. It's the niggley bits, the plasticy plastic stand, un adjustable (not that I need to adjust it, but if you need to...I'd consider another screen.) the packaging it came in was well done, great protection easy to set up. Came with some good instructions and an instructional DVD. I can't fault the display, it's perfect, had no issues yet and I've heavily used it for 3-4 months now, but the plastic stand is what kills it for me. That shiny too plastic, plastic, something you'd expect from a child's play toy, doesn't feel sturdy. Luckily I don't knock my display or desk. Overall I'd highly reccomend it, the display is incredible, the angle, though un adjustable it just right if you have a correct ergonomic desk for your height and seating position. It's the cynicism in me that doesn't like the child plastic stand, but I can live with it, and it's a good product for the amazing price.

I've had another 24" Samsung screen that was a much "higher end" product for years (and about 3 times the price of this one), and it accidentally fell down and broke, so I had to order a new one in emergency, and didn't hesitate when I saw this baby for only a hundred quids. Then I read the negative reviews and thought "Oh god what have I done?!!!", but now that I have received it, I can tell you there is absolutely nothing wrong with that screen. Most of the people probably were disappointed with the default settings (which are horrible, I confess), but once you get the right balance of luminosity/gamma and adjust the colors, this screen is excellent. It does just as well as its more expensive brothers, and at this price, it really is a bargain. I would definitely recommend this monitor, provided you spend a couple of minutes adjusting it, and never use the "game mode" which is rubbish. When it comes to screens, Samsung are really offering the best value for your money !

Only three stars because it desperately needs a tilting stand. The fixed stand is o.k. if you are short, but for me, I have to prop it up on a book or something to get it to a readable angle. When it is standing normally on its supplied stand, the screen surface is vertical, so you can judge whether you'd need to tilt it or not to be able to view it square on. It also has very poor vertical and horizontal readability, so if you aren't viewing it dead centrally, the picture fades quickly. Has a lot of adjustments to cope with different PC input resolutions and screen sizes, but they are a bit tricky to set up. Comes configured on maximum brightness, which is far too high in my view. Once set up, and provided you can get a good viewing angle on it, it is a good, clear monitor.

Chiaramente non si dovrebbe avere troppe pretese da un monitor da 24" che costa poco più di 120€, ma questo Samsung ha degnamente sostituito il mio costoso Dell che si era rotto causa "allagamento del piano superiore". Cercavo una soluzione a basso costo, visto che l'acquisto non era in budget, ma sono rimasto molto favorevolmente sorpreso dalla prestazioni: lo uso per lavoro dalle 10 alle 12 ore al giorno, ma non mi ha fatto rimpiangere prodotti molto più costosi, colori, definizione e contrasto sono ad un ottimo livello ed i miei poveri occhi non si lamentano più del dovuto. Il confronto col monitor quad HD del portatile da 3.000 € di cui fa" l'estensione" non mostra pecche di alcun tipo. Molto pratico e veloce il sistema per passare dalla connessione HDMI (usata per collegare il portatile) a quella VGA (usata per accedere ai miei server). Anche il menù di configurazione è pratico e rapidissimo nell'uso. Supporto stabile con regolazione dell'inclinazione (un po' dura, ma esiste!). Ottimo pure l'angolo di visione. Molto raccomandabile a chi cerca soprattutto la sostanza, vista l'assenza di gadget inutili: non dispone di altoparlanti, ma, in ogni caso raccomanderei sempre degli altoparlanti esterni in modo da poter scegliere una soluzione adatta alle proprie esigenze ed orecchie.

Very nice monitor for the price.

Premetto che utilizzo il monitor in ufficio collegato ad un pc di medie prestazioni, per cui non lo "sfrutto" appieno. Il monitor comunque mi sta soddisfacendo, immagini nitide e vivide, buoni colori, discreta personalizzazione. Il piedistallo è facilmente installabile e permette anche una leggera regolazione dell'angolazione dello schermo per evitare riverberi e per adattarsi a tutti i tipi di scrivanie. Per il momento mi ritengo pienamente soddisfatto

Lo usé durante años como monitor principal y nunca dio problemas. Colores vivos, buena resolución para trabajo y ocio. No es el más moderno, pero sigue siendo una gran opción por su precio.

Very good monitor for the price. Instructions could be better regarding the way to adjust the screen. It does tilt with a little effort when you know you will not break it.
