I sew in quite a bright room, with lots of LED lights, and also two lights behind the sewing machine. But on dark fabric this was proving really difficult at night. This light is fantastic and has transformed my night time sewing!It comes with two base plates - so i've stuck one on my overlocker. It means i can easily "slide out" the light from the base on the sewing machine and slide it into the base on the overlocker! That's just great.It's expensive for what it is...but if it means you can actually see what you are sewing and not have to unpick things...then it's worth every penny.One downside...it does not look like the LED is replaceable. So fingers crossed it lasts a good 5 years or more. However if it does eventually break I might strip it down to see if it's replaceable. Otherwise a well needed purchase which I wish I had bought a year ago!

The room I sew in is quite dark even though I always have the ceiling light on.I didn't realise how dim the light on my machine was until I got this. Total game changer, especially when sewing dark colours.The flexible arm is incredibly handy as I often have to re-position it to see the stitches I have to unpick!

This has made my sewing so sightly, it is more brighter and I am able to sew with ease. I am overwhelmed how good this item is and it not only serves the sewing machine, it also is used for the over-locker as it came with stickers so that you can just slide the light into the rounded slot. A great addition to my sewing tools. I will recommend this to other crafters

Sewing machines generally have excellent light but it is fixed. This light has a flexi neck which can direct the light to exactly where it is needed. Small and neat. Great performance.

As I am getting older & eye sight not as good these days this is a great little gadget for my sewing machine .It gives me extra illumination as I work close to the needle. It is also advantageous when working with dark fabrics especially when hand sewing, it is bright but doesn't glare. The only thing I can criticise is that the flexi hose is a little slack & tends to droop in certain positions. Other than that it is fine. I would recommend that you make sure the lamps position is where you want it before attaching it to your machine as the sticky plate has a strong grip and may not be easily removed.,Having said that I would buy another to attach to my serger as I often have to re-thread it and an extra light on the subject would be well worth the price paid! Delivery was quick & in adequate packaging to protect the product

Great buy its easy to fix and can be moved between machines or repositioned on one machine. Gives great additional light especially on my overlocker

Might as well use ur phn flash light

Bought this for my sewning to give added light for I do my dress making. On dark fabrics. Sadly it has to be placed or stuck with pads onto the side of the machine. Which is a nuisance especially if you go to a sewning classes or crafting classes weekly. It has to be taken off. Expensive for what it is. But the lamp does help.

I always wanted to purchase a lamp to light up my sewing machine, especially the needle section. I was hesitant to order this as it is quite expensive…. But I am so glad I bought it! I hope it’s going to last for long time.

This is as advertised, it was a gift so I can't comment on the quality. I did have one before and it worked great so I don't expect problems.
