Consistent string prints
ABS isn’t easy to print with requiring a heated bed and a sealed enclosure. I’ve tried many brands, mainly premium and have had issues with splitting due to excessive warping and poor inter-layer adhesion. No such issues with this filament.

If you got a 3d printer you will probably have small issues which you kind of need to work around like prints not sticking to be
I have been 3d printing for a year now and as technology goes this is all still new to me. If you got a 3d printer you will probably have small issues which you kind of need to work around like prints not sticking to bed or prints warping ect... Well filament can be the same. i have used this filament a few times and yes there are a few issues but i have worked them out and now i print perfect 95% of the time. For me there are only 2 issues with this filament:Firstly. it is very springy and if you are not careful you can cause it to unwind on the spool which then knots its self up, i think most complaints are because of this. I have done this a few times, like when taking it off the printer to change spools. The way around this is to always keep tension on the filament, this stops it unwinding on itself and always stick the loose end in the holes on the side of the reel when off the printer, ALWAYS....Secondly, the problem i had was it would extrude fine when testing then start a print and a minute or so in it would stick in the extruder and nothing would come out so i would be printing in thin air. After a bit of investigation i discovered that if there is a build up of plastic dust on the extruder motor gear, it would not grip the filament enough to continue feeding it into the extruder head. So once a month i clean it out and problem solved.

Excellent on Da Vinci 1.0a
Let me start by saying all filaments vary in material, feel and quality.I have a Da Vinci 1.0a, on some DIY printers you would probably have to tinker with the extruder/bed to get it working well. On the other Hand I am running stock firmware and have had excellent prints. My reason for purchasing a black filament was that Samsung refused to supply me replacement plastic brackets for my oven handle - so I said I will make my own :)Quality 4/5Excellent packaging, comes on a wider spool than my other filaments but same weight so not sure why they have chosen this design but it fits well so cannot complain. The initial print has a few inconsistent width as if the extruder struggles for the first second to extrude properly but after that it's perfect and really not an issue as this happens on my test line (I think other slicers do a test brim around the print before starting) so won't be an issue, probably down to my temperature but I cannot currently adjust this so just left as is. I have not noticed a big difference in the smell produced when printing. All my ABS filaments produce a slight smell but since the printer is mostly closed its not a big deal.Price 5/5At £13.49 (at the time of purchase) not the cheapest filament I have purchased but it's the second cheapest. And for the price the end product is great I would of spent double this just to source the parts I needed for my oven.Feel-Look 5/5Could not be happier with the print quality, absolutely superb! I have printed my replacement brackets at a 0.4mm later height and they look great, as its black the ridges are barely noticeable. When removing from my heated bed it sometimes leaves white marks on the bottom of the print - this does not happen on my other filaments but I have heard that black filaments can do this sometimes, I found that if you just put a spot of acetone on the marks it vanishes and gives a clean black look.Amazing buy at this price, I was a bit hesitant when I read the other reviews but after seeing a finished print and the brackets on my oven again I am ecstatic. Really good buy for me and hope others will have the same results.Extruder temp: 220cBed temp: 80c-90cPrinter: Da Vinci 1.0a - stock firmwareAttached photos of my oven handle, phone dock, keychain, failed print of laptop holder and others - ignore the stringing in the last photo that was my XYZs crappy slicer.

Causes blockages
Having run about 2 kilos of this filament now, after prolonged use through an E3D V6 Hot End, it can cause blockages and is very hard to clean the inside of your hot end. It leaves black scale inside the heat break, which prohibits smooth running of the filament through the hot end. This eventually transfers into the nozzle causing a blockage that can be very hard to clear. It is highly noticeable when changing filaments where even after a good hour of printing you will still end up with black streaks in your print from this filament. On the plus side, it does print well on to a PEI bed and doesn't smell as much as some ABS filaments.I would advise that unless you really want to get blockages after about half a kilo of constant use, then look elsewhere for ABS.

Can't get layer adherence
First off I am new to 3D printing so my review lacks experience, and my issues could be caused by bad setting. That being said, I just can't get this stuff to bond. I've tried altering everything from bed temperature and nozzle temperature all will consistent levels of failure. The quality and packaging of the Abs is good and it reacts well with acetone. I'm going to try a different brand before I decide if it's me or this product.

Crap Filament
Worst ABS filament I ever purchased, and I've used many. After printing, this filament sticks like a leech-on-steroids to glass. Normally the ABS pops off when the glass cools down, but not this sucker. I can only assume the manufacturers have added something to the mix, as all other filaments I try work as expected. I'm also required to print at 250 degrees to get this filament to ooze enough to squirt out the hot end, way hotter than what I normally use for ABS.I am also suffering with clogged nozzles, whilst not unusual for 3D printing the frequency has become very regular with this garbage filament.I have had some success releasing the printed objects by placing the glass bed in my freezer, however thanks to this useless filament I've now lost 2 glass plates. The cost of ownership for this Prima Filament is very excessive.

Good adhesion and looks like a good finish.
Good adhesion and looks like a good finish. I posted comments about this filament that were wrong because I thought I ordered PLA! Doh!
