No more chemicals
I started reading about the Native American herbs because of the natural remedies. I'm tired of putting chemicals in my body and the high cost of medicine. This is a good book about how to make your own remedies. What herbs to grown, how to harvest them and how you store them. It also explains the herbs and plants that grow in the wild, what to look for. I like the herbal teas, essential oils and the ton of different recipes and remedies for healing. If you are just tired of chemicals being put in your body, or the high cost of medicine, then you need to get this book and follow it.

Not as thorough as some
Some good information, not enough detail in some preparations and botanical names should be used in most if not all identification of plants.

Not exactly what I was looking for
It’s a recipe book. I thought It was more about specific herbs and uses of such. Ugh

No Pictures
If a picture is worth a thousand words then don't buy this book.I need to identify what the herb looks like and there are no pictures.

Disappointed
Thought this would be a useful tool, it's more of a read than tool. It has recipes but doesn't focus on the plant the way I was hping.

Great book
A splendid collection of 14 volumes on the phytotherapeutic knowledge of the Native Americans. They have always lived in symbiosis with nature, drawing from it everything they needed to live. Observing the cycles of the seasons, the animals and the world around them, they gathered profound knowledge over the centuries. A good deal of this is concentrated in this encyclopaedia. Over 500 plants and their healing properties are explained in detail. I really appreciated the card that accompanies each herb plant, in which the botanical name, the family it belongs to, its origins and uses are given. I had taken it for the many recipes but those have now taken a back seat, I am so fascinated by everything else that I decided to study it with great attention. I also read with great interest the section dedicated to frequently asked questions and the most common mistakes you run into when you want to create tinctures, decoctions, poultices with herbs. A complete and clear manual that can be read by everyone. Very nice and written with great enthusiasm.

For some time I have been trying to find a method to cure aches and pains without using traditional medicine full of side effects and I am also looking for a new approach to keep myself healthy, but always in a natural way. This book immediately felt right and I discovered that Native Americans learned the secrets of natural healing centuries ago and were able to use the power of plants to stay healthy, raise physical energy levels and live more than 120 years! In this collection of 14 books, I have greatly expanded my knowledge of healing herbs and how to use them on a daily basis and it is my personal encyclopaedia, with a wealth of herbal tradition at my fingertips.

Useful for abandoning traditional medicine in the most common ailments
With this collection, which I would call more of an encyclopaedia, I am learning about the ancient herbal treatments used by Native Americans for therapeutic purposes, I am no longer wasting time and money and I have finally been able to start treating some of my health problems using natural remedies. I have also started cultivating some medicinal plants and am creating my own small home pharmacy. For me, who always tries to avoid traditional medicines, this book has been very helpful and I am consulting it more and more often.
