Brutal Intentions: Brutal Hearts, Book 1

Well I loved this a whole lot more than I thought I would. I decided to hop into this read on a whim, and I’m sure glad I did! The spice, the banter, and everything about this read was FANTASTIC! It just became one of my favorites. Lillith’s writing is phenomenal, and the story just comes alive through the words. I’m on my way to binge everytning she’s written.

Such a great read! Loved the beginning. It was really strong, very tab0o on the age gap romance. Mia is the mistake, the black sheep of her family despite being invisible, she still takes the brutal words and actions her family. Mia still makes an effort to follow the rules. Laz is only married to gain an inheritance but when he falls for Mia things are going to change for everyone. Laz is done taking sh!t from anyone and even his inheritance might not be worth it anymore….The middle and toward the end was little more unbelievable, I feel like we were told the family’s ties to bad things were just shown in one scene and not very fleshed out. And Laz did one thing I hated him for. It felt more saying than doing happened for a bit. But the ending was great! Definitely wanted Mia to confront her family but ultimately she’s not giving them the time of day anymore once she’s free of them so.

This is a cute yet sort of warped story about a girl whose never been loved or accepted by her own family (that wasn’t really clarified) and whose 41 yr old mother marries a much younger man - Laz - Lazaro. Both and he and Mia have a lot in common. Both are black sheep of their respective families. As many mob ties families, his marriage to Mia’s mom was arranged in hoping to calm his wild ways and have a baby with her in order to get his inheritance. It truly is odd storyline as this woman has 3 grown daughters. Getting pregnant at 41 isn’t exactly an easy task for a woman of that age. So this part of the story is fuzzy. Why her? Why someone older who should be done with having babies? Anyway, there is a love story that blossoms bc of attraction from stepdad to stepdaughter. It was nice how much they do fall in love and he is very protective of her. Loved their HEA. Hoping to read the next book and maybe figure out a few things

My first book by Lilith and it did not disappoint. Can’t wait to continue reading this series.*set in mafia family setting and not so much revolving around mafia activity / violence.

DEFINITELY will not be my last! What a twist on a mafia read! I’ve never read a book that had such a PERFECT mix of spice & comedy! Who knew that was a thing in a non-ROMCOM?! This wasn’t even really a mafia read (which I’m glad I didn’t know going in else I would have missed out on this super steamy 💦🔥🌶🥵 naughty read!I LOVED Laz! He cracked me up so much! His I don’t give an F attitude was unmatched! You literally never knew what was going to come out of his mouth! And that scene with the brothers from school?! I’ve never read one like it and full on laughed out loud when the 3rd person arrived. That was iconic! Still smiling about it now. He was a tortured soul whose family treated him like he was a baby and he wasn’t standing for it. No spoiler but the way he got around their rule? Classic!Then there was Mia. I’ve been all in my feels lately so was not surprised when I got a little emotional at t in es with just how F’ed up Mia’s family was to get her entire life. Hot dang did they do her dirty…on a continual bases. My heart HURT for this girl and she STILL never let them steal her “shine” no matter what, she was determined to make her own way and to depend on NOBODY but herself. She was a fighter, from beginning to end.Then there was Laz & Mia together. Holy freaking 🔥🔥🔥he was most definitely the naughty step daddy! Charging his way into her life, not giving an F that she didn’t want him there. Remember, this book is taboo and flirts with dub-con (No shame, I love non/dub con books!) but boy oh boy do these two spice it up. The naughtiness was some of the strongest I’ve seen/read and I like them 💦🥵. These 2 set the book on fire and never let up. I was so invested in their relationship and got so sucked in I felt like I was really right there with them! Those are staples of a great book in my opinion.**********SLIGHT SPOILER AHEAD********************************************************************The only thing I didn’t like was no closure at the end for Mia with HER familial situation. I wanted to know how that ended up going with all the hurts and wrongs done to her and even them. You can actually see why some of these people have turned into nasty characters! How what happened in their pasts made them such crappy people in their present. I wanted Claire for Mia and maybe them too.******************End spoiler**********************Over all I LOVED this book and got sucked in and finished in less than a day. I stared last night and finished this AM. Staying up way too late because I couldn’t put it down and waking up way too early to finish. This was an amazing read by a new to me author, Lilith Vincent. I am following her immediately and going to find whatever else I can that she’s written to inhale right away! Don’t let yourself miss out on a great read, go grab this book now!

This book had me hooked and I loved every minute of it. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I started this book but I sure am glad I found it while scrolling through books. The cover is what drew me in but the story is what kept me. This book has some serious kinks that not everyone is into so I’ll put a disclaimer in right now and it will have spoilers so if you don’t want to be told what happens then look away now. I mean it. Loook away!Kinks and triggers:Stepdad and daughterCheatingBreeding kinkBirth control tamperingSurprise pregnancyTalk about abortion in the pastIf none of these things bother you then I suggest the book. The spice is a 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶/5 and the storyline is a 4/5 with dual view points and a solid story considering how short the book really was. I would happily read the second book in the brutal hearts book. The only thing that bothered me was that Mia the heroine fo the story never stood up for herself and never confronted her mom. I wish that was included in the story to have some type of closure. But other then that the story wrapped up nicely! I highly recommend for all my smut lovers

I loved this book.. Everything was so amazing I couldn't stop blushing!!! I have no words. The best book of the year for me. May not be Yours if you're not into it xD

I’m so in love with Laz probably even more cause he is of my age, his wittiness and insolence is the cherry on top lol. Definitely recommend. One of the rare 5 star I gave !
