I plan to go on to lose 20 kg, and this is totally doable, and sustainable afterwards. A realistic and viable way to lose weight, keep it off and improve health, which can ve life-changing. Review: I recommend it 100% - Very good book. Even if I read many other books on the topic (including the other 2 books wrote by Jimmy Moore), this is by far the best. It explains why fasting is essential for someone with insulin resistance and why it is something much more powerful than a ketogenic diet. Fung explains things easily and very well, in a non-scientific language. Jimmy Moore's experience with fasting is helpful. I started to do intermittent fasting and it is good to learn from other people's mistakes. The book is also very well organised. I think the recipes at the end are not useful, but I suppose it is not bad having them for someone who wants to know what to eat for being in ketosis.

Read this to be convinced by facts and help
As well as going on a lower carb programme I have included a variety of fasting times This book explains EVERYTHING you need to know If you like to be convinced by science you will find the evidence here If you dont want to read science you'll still understand what he is saying. Its very straighforward You get what to do and why it works. He also busts the myths! If you dont want to listen to quackery online ignore the scare mongers and shouters and read this Jason Fung is a well respected scientist who does not shout but his message is very clear and the results are outstanding if you follow the plan There are lots of diffeent ways to fast and his message is you need to choose what works for you and your life. Its worked for me My diabetes has been reversed My weight is going down My inflamation (from autoimmune conditions) is reduced

Great book
I read this in conjunction with 'The Obesity Code' and although much of the text is duplicated it is still fascinating and informative. I am currently on the Keto diet (which is brilliant btw) and wanted to combine it with intermittent fasting - I have just completed my first 48 hour fast following the guidelines in this book and it was not hard at all. I'm losing weight and improving my health at the same time. Can thoroughly recommend this book if you are looking for a healthy change of lifestyle !

Great book must read it!
Great book I’ve had it for months and it started me off on my keto and IF journey. Nearly 4 months on I’ve lost nearly all the weight I wanted too but more than that, this way of eating is very anti inflammatory and makes you feel great once you’ve got past the keto flu / sugar carb addiction. My body is using my fat as fuel and each week I can feel myself getting slimmer. It truly is a great starting point and Jason Fung gets right to the point.

A life saving book
Having read Keto Clarity and then The Obesity Code I wanted to find out more details about fasting. This is a well written, easy read, which has given me an even better insight into what I've now adopted as my way of life. It explains everything in simple terms and is a great guide for anyone interested in fasting whether a beginner or not. It reassured me that what I am doing is not 'madness' as some people think. It gives good evidence based arguments and is well laid out and easy to understand. I like the recipes at the end as well. I have been following Dr Fung, Jimmy Moore and other similar health advocates for a while now and all I can say is their books are life changing. I have been trying to get to the bottom of fatigue and other issues for over 30 years. I also know I was on the way to type 2 diabetes and other issues. It has been like the quest for the holy grail trying to find answers and I have tried everything over the years! I can now say with confidence that I have found the solution in ketogenic eating and fasting is the last part of the puzzle. It was the missing piece. I feel younger, healthier and have much more energy. I feel how I've wanted to feel since I was a teenager. IBS and other digestive issues have gone, I cancelled an operation to get my gallbladder out and I have lost lots of weight. Fasting has helped my energy levels increase, my blood sugars stabilise and my weight come down even more. Thank you Dr Jason Fung and Jimmy Moore for being part of the solution. In years to come, when I am a healthy octogenarian, I will probably owe that health and diabetes free wellness to you!!

Great book
Great book for anyone who is interested in the practice of fasting, and nutrition in general.

A very important book
Fasting can help even if you are not desperately ill. It gives energy and resets the system. Dr. Fung explains things really well and he has years of data to back up what he teaches. He has a few other very helpful books as well. He is not one of those guys that push things onto you.

Worth every Penny
This book is a high-quality, soft-cover, glossy-paper book with supreme clear-letters and detailed photographs and drawings. The content seems quite good, though I haven't started to fully read it, yet.
