Brilliant bottle opener!
This is brilliant! We have it hung in out garage and use it quiteveryday a lot! It is so easy to use, after initially having my doubts when it arrived in was very surprised at the excellent quality! Only reason I have deducted one star is because it only came with two screws which go through the actually opener however I added two extra screws to the side so it can easily be removed to empty the bottle tops! Will definitely buy again though, might need one for the garden for summer!! Would like a different design next time, maybe one with writing on!

Great opener.
Quality opener, no weird angles needed to open a bottle and no risk of spillage. Not fancy but works wonderfully. We don't have the bucket under it, that's a bit too pubby!Tried a few 'pretty' cast iron ones before this but they just make you spill the bottle to open it.

Fab little bottle opener
This is without doubt my favourite novelty I’ve bought for my husbands bar. It’s so good sturdy and catches the tops as well. Everyone that uses it comments how good it is. So glad I bought this one after looking at so many others I decided on this one and glad I did. It may look a bit plainer than some of the others on sale but I bet this one is so much more useful.

Working behind a small club bar I know that this type with a removable catch bin for the bottle tops works just fine for what is
I rarely write reviews, but this might help someone avoid the problems I encountered. On the face of it this 'wall-mounted' bottle opener is exactly what you would expect looking at the image online - a bottle opener that you can mount on a wall - or other vertical surface. Working behind a small club bar I know that this type with a removable catch bin for the bottle tops works just fine for what is required.I bought this as a replacement for another of a similar design, mounted on a stainless steel bar front for Members to use. I had always wondered why the existing unit hadn't been fitted 'square' and why the locating holes in the catch bin were never attached to anything.Upon receiving the replacement I got the answers. What you see in the photo is pretty much what you get. There are no instructions - I mean, who would need them ?!?That's fine until you go to mount it. I couldn't do this using the original screw holes because they weren't level (see above) - not a problem.. .. if it wasn't for the fact that this had to appear 'professional' for the punters, and here we come to Challenge 1 -.There are only two screws provided that fit through the front of the unit, but there is nothing at the back to locate the screw into, which means you have to try and make up a template to make sure the screws are straight and level to offer up to your surface - in this case, expensive stainless. This I suggest, for someone who is not an expert fitter, is not as easy as it sounds.Combine this with the need to mount the catch bin, ( Please note in the pic, the locating holes to enable you to remove same for emptying.) .There are no screws provided to hang it on -extra screws or alternative fittings are not provided - without them the catch bin would spend most of it's time on the floor spewing its contents (the reason the original unit was being replaced).Challenge 2. The makers obviously feel either that - a.) You needn't bother 'hanging' the catch bin on anything, because there is a very narrow lip at the back of the opener that it can sit on without the need for bothersome extra screws or - b.) You just find some appropriate screws of a size determined by your own d.i.y. skills and bang them in where you think might be the optimum position to enable the thing not only to sit on the narrow lip of the opener, but also facilitate it's proper removal for emptying purposes.Well, here's the thing - The plastic bin arrives shrink-wrapped and once unwrapped has a delightful bow in it, therefore preventing it from sitting on the said lip at all, thus requiring you to attempt b.).Given the stainless surface I was mounting it on and the 'public' position I was mindful of errors that would look frankly naff should any mistake be made in where I placed drill holes, so I used a piece of plastic (roughly 1mm bit of garden centre price tag - cut to size), on the back of the opener to enable me to fit the screws square/true - this also doubled the width of the 'lip' thus enabling the catch bin to fit better. At this point anyone still reading might be relieved to find I won't mention trying to work out where to accurately put the screws to hold the catch bin - luckily I had a couple suitable panhead self -tappers to hand, otherwise it would be a trip to the DIY shop. Needless to say given the accuracy required it was fiddly to say the least.Bottom line - if this handy item had come complete with a simple back 'plate', plus paper template for drilling the holes and just two more screws, then it's a five minute job and 5 Stars. What you get, as it is - 2.5 Stars. That's minus 1 for sheer frustration... ..hey, if you're putting this up bish bosh on a plain bit of MDF that only you will see then you won't care and it's a 3.5 - but don't say I didn't warn you. (Actually I had two of these to fit - hence the grrr factor !)Did I mention I don't write many reviews....
