Effective - definitely not gentle !
I was suffering from a system clog up for over a week so needed some assistance to unblock things. Took one pill at night as suggested - next day, no effect ! I continued to take pills for 3 days to no avail, but then on day 4 the pills finally kicked in. Once they did, I had to spend 24 hours close to a toilet as volcanic rumblings and pains in my stomach turned into regular explosions. Overall, I was very happy with the outcome, especially because as a side effect I appear to have lost a few pounds in weight.

Good product
I have used these before and find them very good. They are gentle on my tummy and don't give me explosive results.!!!! I need to use these due to medication I am on but it says on packet always consult doctor if needed more long term. I recommend them as for me I find them effective.

This is so much better than movicol
This is so much better than movicol. If you have ever tried to get a child to drink movicol it is such a pain and it takes ages and up to 8 sachets before it kicks in. This takes two days with two doses and she only has to swallow a pill. They do have a liquid version which a friend uses with her 6 year old and doesn't mind the taste and it works great for her as well.

Constipation reliever.
This product is great! I have to take codeine during my Mother Nature week and this helps to relieve the constipation. No taste to the tablet, easy to swallow and works well.About an hour after I took one tablet, I ended up with THE WORST stomach pains! I was bent over in pain from taking one of these tablets so beware! It does hurt a lot but it does the job!

Does what it says on the tin!!Poor diet & stress meant extreme constipation (once a week.) Despite weekly enemas at home, I needed more. Bought in order to give self clean slate to improve gut health.Took 1 tablet in 24 hours as stated but found this actually made me worse. Stuck on toilet for ages, struggling to expel. So thought I'd try 2 (I know, I know!) But it worked perfectly for me & my lazy bowel. Today I went 3 times in 24 hours & feel so much lighter & brighter.Gives me minor stomach discomfort just before BM and a small window of opportunity but I'm lucky to work near the toilet!!!Definitely recommend to kick start any improvement program.

After three of them...
I bought these in desperation. I'm another who takes pain meds for arthritis. I decided to take one of the Senokot in the late morning as I'm awake at night because of my arthritis. First one, nothing. Next morning, another. Still nothing. 12 hours later, took a third. That sorted things. Persevere, but DO NOT take more than the recommended dose to be safe. I was about to give up on these and get something else, but they have proved their worth.

It works for me
I have tried so many laxatives over the years, most give me pain, so this was a last resort and they work reasonably well and no pain. They take a long time to work and I have to take 2 but as they are extra strength, they work better than ordinary Senokot, which does not work at all for me. I’m sure for most people they would work fine.

These really work! I used them when I became constipated from using high pain relief for a back injury. They are super easy to take and the instructions are clear. I would recommend them to anyone suffering as a good solution rather than drinking disgusting liquid sachets!

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Senokot Max Strength Tablets are for oral administration. Adults and children over 12: Take 1 tablet a night. (Do not take more than 1 tablet in any 24hr period). Children 12 and under: consult your doctor. The tablets should be taken with a glass of water. Senokot Max Strength usually acts within 8-12 hours. Dose can be repeated on a daily basis until bowel action is restored, but if there is no bowel movement within three days of use, consult your doctor. FOR SAFE USE: Consult your doctor if: Laxatives are needed every day, or abdominal pain persists. You accidentally take too many tablets. If you have been told that you have an intolerance to some sugars as the product contains lactose. Do not take if: Your abdomen is tender to the touch or hurts when you move. You have sharp or persistent stomach pain. You may experience temporary mild stomach pains. If you have these or any other symptoms after taking this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the pack.
