Nice refreshing after shave with a clean, subtle fragrance which doesn't overpower. Left my face feeling clean and looked after.

Bought for razor burn, more on the back of my neck and head than anything else, having a shaved head in this weather is no fun. Plenty of good reviews and the menthol and eucalyptus scent sealed it for me. It's a lovely smelling product, and quelled the red bumpy skin in no time - I can see this becoming a regular.

I was really surprised at how good this smells especially for the price, and certainly would opt for the 400ml bottle next time. This is an up to date fresh smell that also feels great on the skin. My only criticism is that the smell disappears very quickly and is slightly too understated. I would have liked it to be a little stronger.

Was initially sceptical due to the price. Even cheaper than Old Spice! Read the reviews and decided to give it a go. Unscrewed the bottle and had a sniff. Crikey, it reminded me of 80's Christmas present "aftershave". Tried a few drops on, and the scent actually became fresh and pleasant. So far, so good. I stropped a straight-razor, did the business, and slapped on a handful. This is where it got good. Yes it does have a sting, it's aftershave, but less so than other brands. This was quickly replaced by an amazing cooling, tingling sensation that was lovely and refreshing, and nothing like anything else I've tried. Hours later, my face was still soft and fresh feeling. I like the subtle barber-shop scent, but this fades fast, so if you wanted, you could spray on some JPG (or whatever the devil it is you young types like these days), with no worries of it clashing. Also perfect for an evening shave, if you don't want to be sat in a cloud of overpowering fragrance while watching 'The Goodies' on Betamax. I'm glad I made this discovery, and will be using after every shave.

A very nice, fresh scented after shave lotion that soothes and conditions the skin. A lot of people rave about this stuff so I thought I'd give it a go. It really works and smells fantastic. The scent comes alive on the skin, a wonderful fresh clean scent, don't be put off by the addition of eucalyptus in the lotion, you won't smell like a lozenge! It has a light cedar, Mediterranean mint sort of a scent to it, very appealing and refreshing. I found the lotion tingled soon after putting it on, in a rather cleansing and refreshing way, not in any way fiery. Very very nice product, I can see why it's a classic. After several weeks of use I can confirm that it really does moisturise and condition the skin. I shave my head as well and use this lotion also on my head, I just wish it was a little cheaper as it is in Italy, it's a real splash on after-shave without being over powering. This isn't an evening eau de toilette, but an authentic lotion for shavers. This lotion has become a must have for me, I have just bought the 400ml bottle which offers a real saving but is huge. It took me a year to use the small 100ml bottle so gawd knows how long this one will last. Happy days.

It's necessary to separate the product's efficacy as an aftershave lotion from its scent. As a soothing, conditioning lotion, it's great, giving a pleasant fresh feel. The scent, however, is rather less agreeable. It smells cheap, albeit sort of clean, slightly sweet, and a bit soapy. It's not horrible but it's certainly not a fine fragrance. Fortunately the smell isn't very strong and it soon wears off.

Just a lovely aftershave. Smells clean and fresh, but disipates quickly. But I found it did not sting as others had commented. Quality ingredients used, nothing synthetic, and from a company noted as specialists in shaving products. I have had problem skin for years, especially on my top lip and chin, and after only two DE wet shaves using this combined with Proraso sensitive shave soap, have seen a stunning improvement, and 98% drop in redness and post shave flaking in those areas. I now think that it was shaving gels out of cans, and using cartridge razors that was causing my skin to inflame. I only switched to DE shaving last week after the appalling anti-male propaganda of the latest Gillette advert. I shall never buy their products again. The irony is, I can thank them for causing me to research alternative shaving methods which led me to buy a decent DE Razor and brush. The Razor was the Merkur 27c and the brush from Bennys of London, both via Amazon. All excellent buys. The only thing that surprised me with DE shaving is that I have to make two passes over my face to get a lovely close shave. Apparently this is normal, on You Tube tutorials many do three, as it is a different method from the multi blade cartridge shave. I am glad I changed. The traditional products are the best. Instantly hooked. Goodbye Gillette.

Many misinformed reviewers of this product complain about the scent being very short lived , the fragrance itself is very pleasant old school barbers in Bond Street London kind of feel . It is not meant to be a night out fragrance I.e long lasting . It is meant to be an “after a shave finishing product “ ie cooling and soothing a freshly shaved face , this it does in spades provided you have shaved carefully and with skill and don’t have a few nicks , this stuff is excellent it really makes the skin tingle when applied to a freshly shaved face , a bit like cold water but without the shock , the soothing nature comes from the eucalyptus in it . I really think at £10 this is a very good value for money product .it does the job of cooling and soothing the face immediately after your shave and for that it gets a 10/10 from me , remember this is NOT designed to be an after shave long lasting night out fragrance .It is designed to be part of a man’s shaving ritual ( preferably with a traditional grown up de razor ) not these 5 blade rip off priced plastic modern ones . Buy it and use it as it was intended and enjoy …it’s really that good 100 % recommend from me
