Nice on first view, but when I wiped them slate came off the edges after first clean.

Not suitable for use with food despite what the description says.
Little insects were in the slates albeit a good wash removed them. Shavings of slate came of the sides even after washing several times! I wouldn’t buy these again for using for food display as the slate shavings can get into the food, not good.Otherwise if it’s not for use with food they are fine.
