This book is wonderful! My 74 mother loved it as well as my 2 grandsons. It will inspire anyone who reads it to make their space their own. It is a great gift to give! The writing and the art work are great.

Poetry inappropriate for a kids book is printed in the middle of this book. I’m so glad I stumbled across it before I gave it to my daughter for Christmas. Not sure if it’s a misprint since no one else has mentioned it.

A wealth of knowledge of design condensed into an adventure of spirit. A great lesson for a child, or adult to create a space from their own likes instead of trying to confirm to the fleeting trends of peer pressure.

Emily is all excited as today is the day she gets her whole new room to be designed by her! First her family takes a trip to the beach where Emily can contemplate what she might like! Her family helps supports her ever wish and whim to make her her own favorite place. The story line was a nice dream and illustrations quite nice.The printing was so small was difficult to make bigger and Kindle sizing didn’t help. There’s a newsletter that you can sign up for that gives you unique information so you can design your own room, was all outdated and not useful!

Katherine Allen's book opened my eyes and heart to a new way of decorating. Emily's Room inspires creativity at any age. Katherine is brilliant at writing such an inspirational message of making Emily feel special and important by creating a secure and happy space. I will be following Katherine"s advice in creating spaces in my home.
