Pet Remedy Natural De-Stress and Calming Plug-In Diffuser, 40 ml

I had previously tried feliway 3 times, for issues between two of three female bengals, where one had been overly dominant and aggressive towards another. The feliway made the targeted cat a little more confident, but didn't alter the dominant behaviour in the other, who actually sniffed it and then went and humped the other cat. Within a few days of using this one, there was a noticeable difference. I've just bought a second one, and again I saw a distinct change. The dominant cat was more relaxed, and more affectionate with people than normal. She will still pounce on the other sometimes, but it is more half hearted and doesn't scare her as much, and has reduced around 70% I'd say. They will often sit in the same space together and even be affectionate towards each other without scrapping or me having to intervene. It has also made some improvements in the more nervous cat peeing in or near the litter tray, as she isn't getting chased off any more. I don't notice any particular smell, it lasts a long time, and is quick and easy to set up and plug in with a light to tell you it is working. Price wise it's cheaper than feliway but still a bit of an investment. It hasn't worked miracles but it has definitely taken the edge of and made a noticeable difference and i will continue to use it as part of behaviour change work.

I have this near the front door as during the day when everyone else is out my cavapoo barks at the slightest noise outside (hes fine when everyone is in the house in the evenings). I plugged it in right away as the dog was at the groomers and I'll be honest I didnt think it made that much of a difference. After 48 hours I noticed an unusual smell near the front door, similar to damp mixed with fish oil smell. Whether its just this bottle that is giving off a smell or if all of them do I'm not sure but I don't like it and the kids have also complained about the weird smell. I unplugged it right away. Needless to say the plug was actually making a massive difference to the dogs general state of mind and I have plugged it back in. The dog still barks but is much more relaxed and barks at someone knocking the door rather than just loud noises outside, he plays more and is generally a little more self assured it seems. I'm currently trying to find another plug that will work for us because it is not the kind of smell I want right as you walk in but currently I have a wax melt in the same vicinity to mask the smell (which is not difficult to do) Overall I'm very happy with the product but would just like to make people aware that YES IT DOES HAVE A SMELL TO IT and no its not a very desirable one.

I don't normally write reviews for things I buy, but I definitely think this is worthwhile if anyone is in the same position as me with my pet cat. My 7 year old male cat was diagnosed recently with feline Hyperesthesia Syndrome, which there is not an awful lot known about. He is prescribed gabapentin to keep his episodes at bay and make them less distressing, however I was told by the neurologist that the condition never fully goes away. When doing some research online on other ways I could improve his quality of life, one of the main suggestions coming up was to reduce stress. He is naturally a very anxious cat so this seemed like an impossible task. I came across these plug ins while looking for inspiration and thought "well, can't do any harm" - and I'm so glad I bought them! Along with his regular medication, the plug in has helped him so much and his episodes are much less frequent. He's a lot calmer and friendlier and it's really lovely to see. A lot of people mention the smell, but personally I think it maybe goes on a product by product basis. Mine is in the kitchen as he spends a lot of time in there (his favourite bed is on top of the fridge) and sometimes I notice it and others I don't. I don't find the smell unpleasant, it's just sort of earthy? The valerian is the most obvious smell to me, which I recognise having tried rescue remedy(for people) on myself. Hard to explain, but certainly not offensive. Would definitely recommend trying for anyone else who has a cat with this condition, or an anxious pet.

I've used this product now for about 2 years i think, to be honest i don't see any difference in my two hypo cats. I still buy it though for some odd reason but think i will not bother anymore as i'm wasting money as it does not have any effect on my two cats. I have been on their website reading all the useful information but has no effect on my two. I would recommend anyone who has a skittish, timid, shy, scared, behaviour problems etc with their cat or dog is to try Zylkene, can be bought for both cats and dogs. Zylkene is a natural product and works amazing, calms both my cats down very quickly, you basically pour powder from capsule over food and mix, it takes effect very quickly and just works, i like Zylkene because it's a natural product aswell but actually does work, it calms my cats and infact makes them a bit sleepy but it's to help them relax etc and it does it well. My cats aren't scared or anything like that just hypo. But my grandmother has a cat that gets very scared when the fireworks are going off, does not like being stroked or really approached except by my grandparents and moves quickly if you move to quick, nightmare when going to vets as she was found abandoned as a baby, since recommending Zylkene my grandmothers cat has much improved. Don't know if Zylkene is good on dogs as don't own dogs but does on cats very well. I've used Zylkene for well over a year now and is only product that i find that actually works. I don't give Zylkene everyday i just give it as and when i feel they need it usually every 3-5 days. Just always remember to check dosage (based on animal weight with Zylkene) and read instructions like any product regardless whether natural or not. Keep your pet safe by being responsible. I researched Zylkene for weeks before i decided to try it and was very happy with it and can be bought from many places including Vets, buy online instead you save a fortune on stuff like this as vets always charge extortionate prices.

I have one dog, two adult cats and recently got a kitten. My dog was happy with a new playmate, but my adult cats became quite skittish and nervous. One of them would even refuse to come in at night, so I looked at Feliway diffusers and sprays at first and soon saw the huge cost and thought there must be a less costly option! To my relief I came across these. Read LOTS of reviews and decided to give them a go. It took a good 5 days to see some sort of change in the adult cats behaviour. All the animals sniffed around the diffusers and sussed them out. They began to calm down and would happily stay in close proximity to the kitten, whereas they would flee the room before if she came to close to them. They then would sit next to her. Now they are good friends! I still have one diffuser plugged in, but may see what happens if I turn it off for a day. My parents also have this for their elderly cat as he pees/poops all over the house, despite being the only animal in the house. Since having this plugged in he has stopped all messing. He is more friendly and will sit closer to people he doesn't know. BUT, when the diffuser ran out one day, he went back to his old ways! So he must need it plugged in constantly. Be warned, the 'odour' that comes from the diffuser is not particularly nice. At first I thought it smelled like one of the animals had messed somewhere. I often use oil burners or incense sticks in the house, so became used to it's smell. But my parents really don't like the smell, but put up with it as it helps the cat!

I read all the reviews, saw it is a Marmite thing, love it or hate it, well I hate it. My cat doesn't hate it, she doesn't seem aware of it. I really wanted this to work for my blind rescue cat, as she can get a bit skittish, I bought this hoping she would relax when I am out of the house. I read in that the smell would calm down after a couple of days, so after plugging it in and within minutes this fetid small hit the air, I was hoping this would happen. Even though it smells vile, I was prepared to put up with it, if it worked, but I don't think it does. I plugged it in low level in a place where my cat walks by many times a day. I don't think she has noticed it, she never appeared to smell it or be aware of it. Although she is blind, she is very aware and very clever. So a week or so down the line, it's still in and kitty still gets skittish now and then, ne less than normal. So in my opinion, it doesn't work for my cat. I also bought the matching spray, for an instant 'hit' of calmness. I have reviewed that separately. I have been a little worried the smell might linger on me, so I have been asking friends if I smell like 'A tramps sock'. Fortunately, I don't. Don't know if I can stick it until it runs out. I might bin it. If it works for other pets, that's so great, but not on my cat I'm afraid. :(

Definitely works. I have 3 cats (2 females and one male). The male is now 10 and since he was born has been a very soppy cat, very attention-craving and suffers with separation anxiety, seriously! He has got worse with age. As of late he has been peeing on the beds (AGGGGGGGGGGGGH!) and then developed a urinary tract issue (very expensive vet bill and a Veterinary diet). I work at the vets and saw this, but I bought this on Amazon as it is a lot cheaper - I also have the spray. Since using this diffuser and the spray to occasionally spray areas, and the cat, he has calmed considerably - it's almost as though he is constantly stoned, yet still his lovable, talkative self ;) It does have a strong whiff (especially the spray) but that's Valarium, and as it's a natural herb (not a chemical smell, which I hate) I can deal with it. The main thing is he is less stressed, as any stress brings on his issue. We recently had a new door chain (fly chain) fitted, and this is what started his recent episode of urinating in the house as he was stressed, hence developed the urinary problem. He has been petrified of going through the chain, whereas the others do with no problem. This has enabled him to be less scared of the chain and anything else that would normally stress him out. The smell is really not that bad, you get used to it, and we only occasionally catch a whiff. This is a brilliant product and a good price!

Was hoping this would produce much more of a scent, I can't even smell it. Not sure it does anything if im honest.

My dog loved this! I had gotten a few noise complaints at my apt complex, but after getting this my neighbors have told me they don't hear my dog barking anymore! I was very skeptical of this product, but my dog rubs his face on the wall above where I have it plugged in! Very happy with this product!

I purchased this product as I thought my two cats were going to kill each other, and after about 2-3 hrs of plugging this diffuser in they were different cats.. In the past I’ve used each bottle for about 3 months even though it says 2 months, I also believe it’s helped relieve my greyhounds anxiety big time too.. amazing price compared to pet stores as well.
