Must-have
For anyone that plays with either an E-trigger or a response trigger on a Tippmann, this hopper is what I'd recommend. When comes to garanteed feeding system for high rate of firing there aren't a lot of good options out there, I for one hate to mess with all the electronic hoppers that gives out a noise every time they are on, I play woodball and that just gives away my position. The cyclone feeder is gas operated so it only turns when a shot is fired and will always feed after a shot is fired, Tippmann advertised it can go up to 15 bps and I think that's probably low balling, but for the price this is sold for it functions a lot better compared to other feed options out there for full auto markers. Two things though about this system, 1. I use co2, and this system would stop feeding the balls when pressure drops below 300 psi, usually on the 20oz tank I use this system would stop working about 20-25 shots before the gun stops working, so if you ever see the piston stops moving when shooting, you are about to be out of air. 2. the system still relies on gravity so the gun still have to be right side up for it to feed, and when the piston moves the paddle inside the feeder after a shot there is quite a bit of shaking, so if you are low on paintballs in the hopper the shaking might throw a ball out of the paddle and get an empty feed. This happens only when you have less than 30 rounds left in the hopper. So overall I think this is the best/cheapest option to go with a full auto marker, installation is a breeze (took me 2 minutes) and it's a great upgrade for the price this is.

Turned out to be amazing.
I bought this a few weeks ago and just got the chance to use it. This feeder is simply amazing. At first I was set to give a rating of 2 or 3 as I had balls being chopped quite often. In actuality I even started to put the gravity hopper back on my Alpha Black when I realized the issue. The unit I got simply was not put together properly, not really sure how it passed qc but that's besides the point. The solution was to simply tighten the allen screw (there is only one) and the maintenance kit from the marker already had the right size. So a 1 minute fix to what was almost a certain return of the product saved not only my day but also the reputation of this feeder at least from my point of view. After fixing the issue and putting over 5k balls through this feeder not a single ball has chopped since. This is a very well designed unit (as long as it's properly tightened) and performs very well.I was really on the fence as just about all the reviews were positive. I'm glad I found the issue and was able to fix it right away and get on with my game. Will see how it holds up after a few more thousands of balls.

Amazing Product! Highly Recommend!
As with every other Tippmann product I've purchased/used ... the quality is superb. Strong plastic, clean seals/edges, rigid & sturdy hopper (not afraid to take a few paintballs in the hopper. I trust it won't break like a cheap gravity hopper) and the price is right.I purchased both the response trigger kit and the cyclone feed kit. I then did a little reading and realized that I needed to ALSO buy an adapter kit. The adapter is 20$ and I was a little upset that it wasn't included as a "just in case" option. Then I got the kit. The hoses are twice the diameter, fit MUCH better on the gun (no excess to bend around) and all plugs change to incorporate the new hoses. I can say with confidence that I made a great purchase. I can fire fast enough to chop paint with my finger ... and this has eliminated it. With a response trigger....this is a must. I wouldn't waste my money on an electronic hopper unless you plan on changing from a 98 custom series gun in the future.Highly recommend this unit to any avide paintballer/tippmann u98 custom user. LOVE these guys!

A good start to an overhaul
This addition to a Custom 98 ACT (non-platinum series) boosted the marker's fire rate and with the low profile hopper it worked wonders on the field.Pros:lowers the profile of a normal 200 count hopperquick feed ratequick jam clearing mechanismquick and easy installation (remove current hopper, remove gas plug on the side and then place cyclone feeder. Note: don't kink the gas hose)Cons:after 250rnds, paint breaks occurred, but i was using cheap 3 month old paintafter the breakage dry firing occurred after every 3 or 4 shot in a burstdoesn't work while shooting laterally to the right side (holding the marker out sideways)suggestions:since my paint broke i will upgrade with softer paddles, and try with new paint
