they are basic but hard wearing and quite thick and I think F/Glass. they are just used as practice arrows in the garage on both foam and straw bosses. hope that helps Regards Steve

Q: Suitable for a 50lb longbow?

I bought these at the starts of my archery so I could shoot in the garden (which is walled around three sides), I found a number of the nocks broke first round but the supplier sent some replacements out. I shoot 26lb recurve and these are really at the upper end with my bow, since you are asking about 50lb longbow I would have thought too much power from the bow? They are made of fibreglass with plastic flights, so probably don't match-up to an expensive longbow

The spine is made from Some sort of hard plastic or resin.

they are fibre glass and not particularly good quality. when I used them in a straw target the tips came off so i complained and the manufacturer sent me some more tips but didn't apologize and said it was all my falt. I glued the new ones on with gorilla glue and that was better. I would by some that are a bit more expensive if i were you.
