Easy to use, cost effective filter coffee machine
If all you want is a simple to use machine without bells and whistles, yet produces a nice up of coffee then this is for you. No timers, nothing technical and a nice cup of coffee in just a few minutes. The only possible downside for some may be that it requires filter papers, but that’s no issue as they a fairly cheap to buy. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Good value but not without its issues
I've had the machine just over a month so feels right to review it now.Pros:- price is very reasonable- speed and capacity - it's quick to make a pretty large jug of coffee- looks great on kitchen counter- hot plate works effectively and coffee stays warm for a good while after it auto-shuts off- the non-drip 'system' works pretty well, especially if you wait a minute or two after it finishes brewing- easy to clean (I wipe down the water from inside the tank and coffee compartment after each use to save it getting grubby.Cons:- ignore the promo video on here - it's a different model. This doesn't come with a timer mode. And weirdly the box and the pics on Amazon show an 'On/off' button, whereas mine just has a power symbol... presumably so it can be more easily manufactured for multiple countries?- the glass carafe feels very delicate - might need to be thin to work with the hot plate (I've never used another coffee maker so they might all be like this), but it definitely wouldn't take much to smash it and I'm as careful as possible when washing/drying it!- the machine may look good, but it's a little flimsy and isn't half as solid as it looks, it's basically just a plastic shell... not necessarily a bad thing but I guess that's why it's pretty cheap. The top hinge of the coffee compartment broke within a week of me receiving the machine, so I'm now being extra careful!- the cup/mug guide on the jug and water level is either inaccurate or designed for different mugs. If I want to make three average mugs of coffee, I have to go up to the 9/6 mark. Just takes some getting used to.- I've had a couple of disasters where coffee/water just spills out everywhere - seems to be because the filter paper has shifted inside the coffee compartment after I've closed it and the water's just pooled around it. (Touch wood) it hasn't happened for a while, but this is just another aspect I have to be extra careful around! So overall, a good value machine that's been a nice introduction to coffee makers, but far from perfect. Even for the price I'd hope it could be a bit more robust. And if you're on the fence between a coffee maker and a cafetiere, I'd go with this. The clean up is much easier - you can just lift out the filter paper with all the coffee grounds in it, super easy - plus it keeps it hot for you.

Good quality for money
Easy to use, coffee is brewed at a good temperature and it only takes a few minutes to brew a few cups.

Disappointed
Although it’s been ok for a coffee percolator. It takes a long time to get warm and doesn’t keep heat for as long as it advertises. When it beeps you need to give another 5-8 minutes before the coffee filters through. So the beep is for water holder being empty and not coffee being ready.I am disappointed that after only 2 months the heat pad is already warn, I only use a damp cloth to clean it when coffee has spilt over nothing abrasive. The pot size although says up to 10large cups is way out and is more like 4 at maxIf I could return I would but I don’t seem to have an option to do so even with the faults

Cheap and flimsy
Bought this as a replacement for an old and much-loved DeLonghi ICM1211 which was much more sturdy and robust. Not sure how long this one will last, seems to be made of very cheap plastic. Works OK but the coffee tastes plasticky - I am hoping this will improve with use. I like the '3 beeps' to show the coffee is ready.

Had Nespresso, pleased to have moved back to filter coffee.
I love buying the ground beans, putting them in my filter papers and letting the machine do its thing. It's a simple machine. The one thing that's unclear from the instructions is how to open the filter bit though there is an indentation on the right hand side and you pull it towards you. I'm not sure if I'm the only one who was looking for a button. Got it after a minute or two though. It's quick and quiet and good value for money to make coffee taste good again!I would say two things they could improve on:-1. The recommended measures of coffee are not really enough and this can result in weak watery "coffee" that you need to chuck. Perhaps if the measures are really heaped their guide works. Also, it's in cup sizes... I always use the number on the right (large cups) and halve it for the amount of cups it will actually make. I also make the measures heaped. This seems to work. So if I'm making two mugs of coffee I'll fill it up to the right-hand 'four' with four large heaped spoons.2. It gets a bit unclean even with washing, so I think descaling will be important. They say every 100 goes, I'd say it's probably more frequent than that particularly at the top of the jug.3. Once brewed, the timer will keep-warm for 40 minutes. Generally this is fine. I wish there was a setting to disable the auto-turn-off. Not the end of the world though, it can easily be restarted with the click of a button.

Dripping Coffee Maker
I was quite disappointed with this coffee maker. It doesn't stop dripping if you take the jug out even after the 3 beeps have gone off to tell you your coffee is ready. So, coffee drips over the heat element for the time you have it out. That may be impatience on my behalf but something which has no drips in it's description shouldn't drip. One day I found a slug in the water reservoir and that was what made me decide to back to my 24 year old Krups coffee maker which has a working non-drip function.
