RENPHO Digital Body Scale, Battery-Free Solar Power, Multi-User Support

HAD THEM ONE MONTH PLUS PEOPLE THAT WEIGH DAILY, TAKE IN ACCOUNT FOR EVERYDAY WATER WEIGHT, SALT, SODIUM, TOILET ETC thats why its best once a week around same time.Bought for around £16, which is cheaper than most basic scales. RENPHO is a well known brand and the hardware is good: tempered glass, slim, and the solar charging works well. Out of the box mine was fully charged and has stayed full with only occasional use of the false light, charging off just the light bulbs so if you're room is dark the bulbs will be fine.The big thing is the app. I’m on version 7.9.4, which works fine. They released 7.9.6, but after feedback on Google Play it was pulled: comparison features disappeared, you couldn’t delete history entries, the tune once reading was done, and more. My advice: set your phone to manual app updates and wait a week or so before installing any new version and check play reviews. If you know about sideloading, Google made it harder now; you’d need the older XAPK (not APK) and an XAPK installer. For now, 7.9.4 is still good and you don’t need to update the app for this scale to work. You can check most recent reviews on Google play about this but the app is back on 7.9.4 as of 04.09.26.Weight accuracy seems fine for home use. My readings match a family member’s identical scale and are within the range I get at my GP. I use it on a Samsung S10 and a Xiaomi with no Bluetooth issues. Once the app logs your weight, the scale doesn’t show in paired devices, which is normal for this setup just after first reading hit Bluetooth on and jump on scales and will or should read.The app you can set weight from stone, pound or kilos. You can also set tunes for maintaining weight, increase or decrease so you can tell the difference. You can use the app in guest mode and all works except your data to import or export, so again uninstall app, change phone your data is gone so if you need it then a subscription maybe for you, though the company needs revenue like apps have ads ( this app doesn't ) so they have you with your data and history.Body composition figures (BMR, protein, etc.) are estimates based on weight/BMI formulas, not blood tests, so treat them as trends also remember if your BMI is high they can't see if its fat or muscle, im sure people that use scales are aware of this so BMI if a bodybuilder and slim will show high as these scales don't have eyes nor do waist to height measurement . Don’t weigh daily: I went from 10st 11.2 to 11st 5.3 in three days, which is impossible; my weekly weight was normal. Bodies fluctuate a lot day to day so jump on them weekly at the same time.Some functions are locked until you sign up or subscribe, and there are ways around it but they’re too complex to explain here. They need to make money somehow, but note that if you lose the app or change phone, you will need a subscription to export/import data first or you lose your old data.Overall: near accurate for basic weight/BMI, strong glass, great solar charging. The main caveat is the app stay on 7.9.4 and check recent Google Play reviews before updating. Recommended for budget users who want a slim, solar‑powered scale.Great value basic scales and a good name.As always thing's are subjective and some people want everything at a low cost .I would recommend these to family and friends and others for scales as they do the job and just think the rest are little quirks and fun.

Before my purchase, I read alot of reviews on many different scales similar to these. Apart from accuracy, I noticed people want something easy to use. Both are true with these and I am very happy with my choice.I am quite fortunate that I am weighed weekly using professionally calibrated scales, therefore, I am able to confirm the accuracy of these scales whilst taking into consideration the obvious daily fluctuations (very minimal for me since I am trying to stick to a regular time of day/point in my daily routine).A QR code is provided to scan straight from your smart phone's camera to the device's app with a straight forward sign up and set up process. Syncing with my regular fitness app was easy and part of the set up process.The slender and lightweight design makes it easy to tuck away.Being solar powered was a great selling point for me. The solar charging strength is shown as 0-4 sun icons so we are not left guessing if the solar strength is enough for a good charge. This was very helpful when I thought I'd popped the scales in a good, well lit spot only to see one sun icon. This allowed me to slightly move the scales and achieve the full 4. Charged fairly quickly.A dainty on/off switch is on the underside and allows for energy saving whilst scales are not in use.I will be recommending these to family and friends.

The scales are great - and never need batteries. I have mine in a light bathroom but away from direct sunlight and they still hold full charge well.Bluetooth doesn't connect every time. Sometimes you have to unload the app on the phone and restart the app - sometimes one or two times but this seems to fix it.The scales are great, the data syncs with Apple Health, you can track your weight journey easily and track trends if you weigh regularly. I weigh every day and the app shows me my progress over time. You can add other family members to the app and track their weights also. When my wife weighs herself (and is not interested in tracking her own weight but wants me to track it for her) i find that when I open her profile the app will import her data. The scales remembers her weight from previous times she has weighed and then silently transmits her data to the app when I connect to the app while weighing myself. The app also "intelligently assigns" her data to her profile - as it can tell the difference between as we are different weights. This is quite neat the way it works.Overall I love the scales - amazing value for money and the app is excellent.

I’m really impressed with these scales. They’re quite small. The Solar panel charging is a game changing feature. They’re easy to use and pair. The quality for the price is exceptional, you’d expect smart scales to cost more. They easily link to Apple Health via the Renpho app. The accuracy is precise and I tested them against my old non-smart scales to see this for myself as I’d heard others saying that they were not.

Had this product for a short time, it papers to work ok. But fails after 2 months use. This unit will not powers up or charge up. Not very promising. Trued support no response, will continue to await and see what happens.

Love these scales. The app is fabulous that works with them. Gives you lots of statistics and helps keep track on your daily calories. Glad I purchased these scales.

This is a fabulous item. I got the solar power version so no charging. There were some reviews that talk about pairing being tricky. It was initially, however, as long as your in the app and on the scales screen when you turn the scales on, it pairs instantly every time. This is once you’ve initially set it up. I’ve been using this for about 10-12 weeks. It shows your progress and you can view different stats like, BMI, fat, muscle, bone density etc. I’m 51% into my journey to target weight, the weekly weigh in has helped me stay focused and on track.

The scales work fine but the app they say to download doesn’t connect to the scales so if you are buying scales to connect with a phone, don’t choose these

Constistent in the whey it shows. Seems accurate. Doesn’t need much sun to recharge.However, the fat/muscle/tissue measurements are bs. It is so off. During the last 6 months I have gone from 25-30% body fat to about 12%. The scale says 21-22%, it has been saying the same % since I bought it even though I made a total body transformation in the meantime.

I bought te solar one and received it immediately the next day!Very fast shipping and it works great! I did had some struggles in the beginning.Try standing on it with bare feet if it doesn't work (when no measurement for the other things seems to work). It only worked with bare feet for me.

Mide con precisión y carga bien con luz ambiental. El proceso de conectividad bluetooth necesita GPS para móvil con android menos versión 12.0. Servicio ATC profesional, rapido y detallado a la consulta requerida. Los datos que envía vía bluetooth al realizar el pesaje con el GPS en mi caso activado, android 11.0, son detallados y correctos bastante exactos. Batería alta duración. Aparentemente construcción sólida. Precio muy competitivo. Para mi caso, control grasa visceral, peso, masa muscular, para control running maratón y media maratón es bastante útil . Como puntos de mejora el software debería ser más easy-use tipo garmin Connect.

Très bonne balance connectée. La précision est au rendez-vous et les mesures sont cohérentes d’une pesée à l’autre. Le fonctionnement solaire est très pratique, plus besoin de piles, ce qui est un vrai plus au quotidien.L’application RENPHO est simple, claire et très complète : suivi du poids, de la masse graisseuse, musculaire, IMC, etc. Les données se synchronisent rapidement et permettent de suivre son évolution facilement dans le temps.Design sobre, utilisation intuitive et excellent rapport qualité-prix.
