HavahartLarge Live Animal Professional Style 1-Door Nuisance Animals Easy Set Trap

I work for a small animal charity and purchased the Havahart large trap to help catch stray or lost cats. Within days of it arriving it was put to use and caught a stray in need of some TLC. The trap was easy to use and well made. The cat us now waiting for a new home.

very disappointing, the door did not close and the animal ran away. I could not close the door and it took a huge effort to close it so I could send it back. Bad design, There is no door at the back through which to put the bait and one has to have very long arms to place it at the very back of the trap. A disaster.

Catches your pests alive then get rid of them alive. Very organic no poisons.

I caught three stray cats in less than a week with these large traps; they work very well!

The havahart trap was not my first choice since it cost a little bit more compared to similar traps you see. The other trap was not trapping a pesky raccoon that took up residence under my porch, I caught the Raccoon on the very first night I switched to the Havahart trap. It's much more sturdy, simple to set up and effective!

Trap was bought to catch feral cats for TNR. I read many review of types of traps and decided on a known brand name over the foreign brands. This one only opens on one end, which I originally thought would be an advantage, but is a slight problem now since the female cat has to stay in it for 2 days after her spay. Not being able to open one end a little makes it a challenge to put in food or take out waste. There are some areas that allow you to spoon some food in through the mesh, but not able to remove soiled bedding. It is only temporary for the cat, though, but think it through before buying. There is a two door version of this trap.The trap mechanism is fantastic and easy to adjust and set! Definitely an excellent product.
