Many of us who are obsessive about setting up our guitars seem much less obsessive about where we do it. On top of the bed must be #1 location for many - it was for me - because table tops are just too darned slippy. But this mat solved all that for me. It sticks like glue to your tables, benches and guitars making it much easier to get purchase on the instrument without risking a Homer Simpson moment.

I've been working on my guitars more and more recently, I've also been building my own, so when it comes to set ups, string changes etc, these come in really handy. Stops the guitar from sliding around and/or getting scratched. It also just creates a nice little work area to get things done. It rolls up and has a little velcro strap for easy storage if you're only going to be using it every now and then.

Good material, wipes clean well and is thick enough not to move when needed. Great product.

Fully admit that I just be mad to spend over £20 on a foam mat rather than simply lay down a towel or use the bed etc as I have been doing to date. I could return the mat I suppose on grounds of temporary insanity but in terms of honest review of the product the 3 stars is for overpricing something that is really cheap to manufacture, as is typical of a lot guitar products. I should have bought a yoga mat and cut it in half or something but I was weak.

This mat works great to support and protect you instruments when you are working on them. It is thick enough that it does not take to much space when you put it away, but it will protect your instrument when using it on the table. The length is good to accommodate you instruments, you can use it for guitar or even bass with no problems. It cleans very easily and it is non slippery so it stays in place when you are using it.
