This stuff worked
My new kitten was incredibly interested in all things cables. He had already successfully chewed his way through two headphone cables. My real worry was that he would eat through a live wire and be toasted kitty.I have cables in my living room for x2 desktop PCs, the router and associated cables for other devices...alexa, phillips hue etc. With some careful reworking of furniture and these cable covers I now have a kitty safe environment. When the critter cord arrived I dumped it on the floor for kitty to explore. He excitedly ran towards it, but backed off just as quick! Does this stuff stink? Yes it does, of course it does, it would be stupid if it didn't. The first few days it was quite noticeable. Now I don't notice it at all.Well worth the money for peace of mind.

Not sure if it repelled us or the cat more…
Got these to deter our kitten from chewing wires and genuinely the smell gave US a headache! Not sure who they repelled more, the kitten or us, but he did stop biting cables so hey Ho!The scent does die down though after a while so now they don’t stink but still keep the cables protected :)

No more buying replacement cables.
After going through goodness knows how many cables with our rabbits, including apple chargers which cost a LOT to replace, we discovered this stuff. Seems to work a treat, the rabbits don't nibble at it, they'll give it a sniff and walk away. It may be a little expensive, but when you add up how many cables it has saved it's more than worth it. Even if your pet isn't deterred by the smell (and opening the pack that smell is super strong) the cable is thick enough that it should take them a while to eat through, hopefully enough time for you to stop them.

Deeply Avoidable
I’m truly struggling with this product. I’m struggling to find a single positive thing to say about this junk.It smells rancid, strongly rancid at first which thankfully abates after about 3 months. It’s a barely describable smell, almost like strong vinegar the way it attacks the nose and sinuses. Thoroughly unpleasant. It doesn’t repel animals like it is supposed to. In fact I think it actually attracted our rabbit who has very swiftly and clinically savaged the product plastic exposing the wires inside to his razor sharp teeth. I can’t - in good conscience - praise a product that fails in its primary purpose, its sole reason for being.Although this review may seem damning. The product usefulness and quality has nothing on the customer service which is laughably inadequate. I contacted the seller to inform them that their product had failed in its primary purpose and they were not interested. Not in the slightest. I got some vague email response stating that they were ‘unable to resolve my issue at this time’.Quality fail, Customer Service fail, and Cost fail. Hugely overpriced for the value it delivers, which is none.Deeply avoidable.

My rabbit seems to enjoy eating this rather than being deterred from chewing wires altogether, however it does stop him from actually getting down to the wire and is the only product I can find that is designed to stop animals eating cables. Yes, the smell is very strong but it fades quickly.

Good stuff
This stuff works a treat. When you first wrap your wires in it the smell is very strong and leaves a funny taste in your mouth. It's worth it though 🐈😁

These were so useful when I first got my kittens (especially so for my iPhone charger!) it put them right off of chewing dangling cables, and seems to have stuck in their heads as they don't attack leads that aren't wrapped either.Wonderful for anyone with new kittens or puppies - even if the smell doesn't stop them the plastic is thick enough that small sharp teeth won't reach the wires.

Finally my cables are safe!!!!
I read both good and bad reviews when I was debating whether to purchase this or not!A lot of the reviews commented on the smell so I was prepared for that, and yes, it is pretty potent! When I got the product I took it out of the packaging and left it by the window so it could air for a few days. I have to say though the stink was worth it, my stress levels have now completely gone down because I'm not constantly worrying about my very nosey kitten getting behind the tv and chewing on the wires all the time!I ordered the twin pack so the smaller one is good for my phone line etc and then the bigger one works well on the cables behind my tv.I have tested people when they've been round to see if they can smell the protectors and even my mum who has a super sensitive nose said that she couldn't smell anything. I personally feel like I can just get a whiff of it as I walk through my front door but that's it. I just open the windows! Like I said, I'd rather have a slight lingering smell than the panic of my kitten electrocuting herself!!
