My dog is only 6lbs and this is the best harness we have found. It is a little large for him, but hoping he will grow into it. Seems well made and very adjustable. It is the most comfortable one I have found for him. I can pick him up with it if I have too....like if a big dog is running at him at the dog park... it does not seem to hurt him.

It's so hard to find harnesses that fit the length of a Bichon's body but don't wind up landing too high on their necks; like those super cute ones the go over the head. These are very effective for both walking and securing them in the car.I use dog seat belt attachments for mine so I'm very sensitive to ensuring the harness will not put too much pressure on any point or worse, cause them to flip and then get choked, or crushing their ribs. These fit around the bottom of the chest plus their rip cage, so there is even pressure if we have to slam the brakes, and they're lower body doesn't flip under them. Bonus, they seem really comfortable to the dogs!They may not be as "cute" as the others out there, but make me feel far more secure about their safety in the car. I just use cute collars, leashes, and clothes if I want to cute them up! You do have to be mindful when buying jackets/coats with leash holes, because the hole needs to be lower on the back than others. I often just cut my own custom hole...if the material is good quality I don't even have to sew the edges to avoid fraying!

2nd Gooby harness. 1st was a neoprene, escape free harness, which worked very well, and loved it. Did not need escape free when puppy grew older. The new harness has 4 point adjustment which helps with a frenchies growing chest and body. Secure but lightweight. The neck line is great for No Choking. This model was a little small for my growing puppy but great for most other breeds. Most important to stay with gooby for that wonderful v-neck line. Thanks Gooby.

My Crestie mix has an 18" chest measurement behind the legs, which is a medium according to the size chart. Even adjusted as tight as possible, the medium size was huge on my dog. The D rings were too large to accommodate the clip on a leash appropriate to her size. The chest portion of the harness being too big actually caused pressure on my dog's trachea when she pulled.I exchanged the medium for a small, which fits much better (and still has to be tightened quite a bit, so the chart is completely wrong). The D rings are a better size, and the chest portion is more proportate to her frame. She does not have trachea issues when wearing the correct size, which was the whole reason for purchasing this harness. My dog is extremely protective and strains to head off other pedestrians. We're working on her pulling issues, but she's pretty stubborn!Negatives: 1) The buckles are cheap plastic and have to be readjusted frequently because they slide around; 2) The finish on the D rings wears off immediately. At this price point, the parts should be higher quality.Overall I am fairly pleased with the small sized harness and will stick with it unless I find a better alternative.

halter fit as arrived. Didn't even need adjusting. Fits well and he now seems to want to walk more while in the harness. Point about sizes: on their website it clearly indicates sizing for each TYPE of harness they offer. I had gotten the step-in. Go to their site (vs. Amazon site) for correct sizing of the product you are specifically buying. Perhaps Amazon could update their info to make this more obvious?

Love the X shape, does not press on dogs throat or choke the neck. Not bulky at all, just perfect for car seat harness or walking on leash.

Our dog is a chewer!!! I have to sew ribbon to both sides of this harness but it is the only one that fits her chest. She is a Schnauzer and very active!!! She has megaesophagus and needs something that doesn't let her pull against her neck. This harness fits the bill even though she can chew through the harness material and I have to rework it to make it work. I have tried others but she can pull out of them.

I bought this harness for my mini aussie and it's a perfect fit. The no-choke design is beneficial on walks and the lack of belly strap solves the friction and fit issues which occur with common harness styles. It's comfortable enough for him to nap in and, all-in-all, a great purchase.

Wierd sizing but bought large but had to shorten the waist strap as it was too long. If I bought the size smaller it would be too short from front to back, then would have rubbed behind the elbow. Otherwise happy with the product as does not choke my dog.

We ordered the small for our tiny chi and what was advertised was 12.5 inches around the chest minimum. We knew from previous purchases this would fit. As per the pic what we received as a small was 13 inches round the chest minimum. Might not seem like a lot but on a tiny dog it really makes a difference.. can see by the pic it’s baggy.(Her name is Meatball btw)

Too flimsy; disappointed with the quality considering the price. Returned for refund

Excellent quality and fits my female 8.7kg Boston Terrier perfectly. Delivered earlier than expected too!
