The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this lava lamp on a whim, to add to my very large collection of lava lamps, and was SHOCKED by how well it performed. While it might not be the brightest lamp, (on account of how small it is in comparison to other more average sized lamps, and therefore requiring a smaller, lower powered light) it still has dazzling colors, rich dark purple water with a beautiful orangy red wax that looks more orange towards the lamp light, and turns a more cool toned, darker ruby red as it rises. The video I've added is not accurate to the colors, as I have a ton of other lava lamps sitting next to it, making the accuracy of the color in the video unreliable, so take my word for it, and purchase this to see it's real colors. The flow is absolutely gorgeous, and stays fully active for hours, unlike some larger lamps that struggle with overheating. The water is clear and not foggy with my lamp, which is definitely something that Amazon distributed lamps often times struggle with, on account of the unreliable handling of the product before it even arrives, but in this case, it either wasn't jostled or survived being so, because this lamp is one of the clearest lamps I've purchased to date.Overall, it was a cheap, quickly shipped, and beautiful, fully functional lava lamp that is gorgeously active with flow, clear, and easy to set up. Go ahead and buy it now!

I bought this for my 11 year old nephew fir his gaming room. He loves it! Well made, nice lava lamp.

He burned himself so keep it somewhere safe

The media could not be loaded.  This lamp gets so hot that it’s a true fire hazard. Bought this for my 8 year old and I was worried every time she turned it on. After a couple of months the wax started to get really gross looking and you can see in the video that some sort of coil or spring came loose in the bottom. Don’t waste your money on this.

Nice lamp, slightly on the smaller side. Overall works great. Lamp gets hot, and the aluminum base gets too hot to touch - use care if using as a night light or lamp in a kids room.One flaw - the quality of the glass bottle - there are lots of tiny air bubbles in the glass. This doesn’t seem to affect the functioning of the lava. However, every little air bubble and imperfection shows when illuminated. It just never looks clean due to all the flaws in the glass. Many people would be better off spending more to get a better quality of materials and a nice clean glass.

I don’t take that lightly - we originally ordered the fancier version, larger, came in more colors. First one didn’t work. Returned, second one still didn’t work. They were great about taking it back and we ordered this, smaller one instead, and it works just fine. Considering this was a gift for a 6 year old, he didn’t really care that it wasn’t full size, just wanted to watch the bubbles.

Actually does what it’s supposed to do and doesn’t just sit there like a lump
