Tripod Reducer 3/8" to 1/4" 50mm Diameter Mount / Post / Stud / Head Adapter 59mm Diameter

The Manfroto 834 is a counterweight that is perfect for long-pole selfie poles for use with Insta360, but its threads are 3/8” male and female. This reducer is great for the top as it creates a flat conversion space. For the bottom of the 834, you’ll either need a 3/8” tripod conection, or a readily-available conversion thread to take it to 1/4”. Check out VIZEMO 1/4” and 3/8” set on Amazon.

I came across a method of mounting a PoleMaster polar alignment camera on an iOptron SkyGuider Pro using the Manfrotto version of this adapter, The Manfrotto version is hard to find and is four times more expensive. For $7.95, I thought I would give it a chance. I found it to be well made and worked very well for my purpose. I liked it so much I purchased a second one to add to my adapter collection.

Even thought the product gave it's exact dimensions, it was still a little bigger than I thought it would be. I had to saw off about 1/4" from 1 side so I could open the battery compartment on my camera. This mount is on top of a monopod and the camera mounted on top of that.I used a regular hacksaw and clamps, and it literally took about 30 minutes to saw through the hardened metal.it is very solid feeling, but light thanks to the design.

I purchased this to add some space between my tripod base and the ball head. The ball head adjustment knobs were too close to the base and I was constantly pinching my fingers. And now?. now problems at all. I'm happy, my fingers are happy and my wallet is happy with this easy and affordable solution.

It is almost perfect for my tripod with the 3/8" head and my DSLR with the 1/4" hole. The 1/4" screw of the tripod reducer is a little bit too long and will not go into the camera completely. I have to use a washer as a spacer between my camera and this tripod reducer to get a tight fit.

Great adapter except you can't trust it. Very sturdy adapter. It has very deep female threads and can be tightened down very securely. Unfortunately, the bolt they use for the male threads is short. My Sunpack head uses only two or three threads and I won't trust my camera to it. Sad, a slightly longer bolt would have made this a 5 star product.If the threads on your attachment aren't recessed, it may work great for you.

I use a Pico Dolly and a Manfrotto 701HDV fluid head, the problem is that the head does not fit well together with the dolly, turning the head will hit the nuts that hold the axle. This tripod reducer helped to raise the head and solved that issue. I used 2 of these to completely raise the head above axle nuts. Works as it should. I use it on my Manfrotto photo tripod to adapt a fluid head that I have. This product saved me lots of money. Without it I would have had to buy a new fluid head for video work. Now I can shoot video with a proper fluid head.
