Amazon Basics HDMI-A to DVI (Male) Adapter Cable, Bi-Directional 1080P, Gold-Plated, 0.9 m, Single Pack, Black

Decent quality at a good price

Brilliant seller. Brilliant item received and fast postage. Just what I needed to connect my dell laptop to an hp screen. Good screen resolution transfer. Easy to set up, just plug in and go

Old tech. It works

Perfect - I had an older cable that just wouldn’t connect my pc to the dvi connection on my monitor. I had no idea that I needed a bi-directional one like that which worked instantly.

It works. I can now use an old monitor that does not have hdmi input.

Great item, worked perfectly allowing me to connect my old monitor to a modern computer

I didn't use this because conversion from dvi to hdmi reduces resolution. Basically a passive device like this throws away half the signal so you are limited to just HD resolution, native dvi is quit a bit better than HD as is native HDMI. So I stuck with dvi.

The Amazon Basics HDMI-A to DVI adapter cable is a solid, budget-friendly option. I’ve used it to connect my TV to a device that only has a DVI output, and it works perfectly. The 1.8m length is just right for most setups, and the gold-plated connectors ensure a stable signal with minimal interference. It supports 1080p resolution, and I haven’t experienced any issues with picture quality or lag. The build quality is also surprisingly good for the price, and it feels durable. If you need a reliable HDMI to DVI adapter without breaking the bank, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!

plug and play worked perfectly for my old computer to my 39" older TV. Delivery was very quick as well.

A quality cable at a very reasonable cost. I have many cables of this type from different sources and this is the one I would buy again. $9 for a 15’ video cable is pretty exceptional. I took a gamble because I have been happy with the brand for other cable purchases. I own a mobile production facility using uncountable thousands of wiring products, most custom made, so I have a lot of experience with this sort of product. This hits the sweet spot for durability vs flexibility in my experience. The connector boots look like they will have no problem with the many dozens of installs I will subject them to in business use. The wire itself is very flexible, despite fairly heavy insulation and a medium jacket size. The connectors seat perfectly and captive locking screws turn smoothly and easily. I have not tested this at high resolution so cannot comment on that. It is currently in use connecting a Mac Mini to a professional Viewsonic display at 1920x1080, 60Hz refresh and is working flawlessly.

I need this for my computer as my old ass monitor doesn't have HDMI. So yeah works great, don't notice any latency or lag, no visual distortion or anything either. Nice thick cable so it isn't getting coiled up and tangled.

Oh my goodness!! What a lifesaver. I recently moved and the docking station I was using for my laptop and 2 monitors went kaput on the journey from my old place to my new one. I had to get a new docking station but the old cords I was using for the 2 monitors needed to be updated to HDMI models, so I went online to understand the cords I had and what I needed to replace them with. I searched 'images' on Google to find a cord similar to the one I currently had and when I had an idea of a replacement, I searched for it on Amazon. I found another brand that was close but at the bottom were other options and the Amazon Basic brand was much better!! It was exactly the same cord that screwed into the back of my monitors (Dell monitors) with the HDMI at the other end I was able to plug into the docking station. And when I turned my laptop on, there were my monitors, back to life! I was so excited! I'm not that tech savvy and I tend to get things wrong a hundred times before I get it right in this arena. The other cords I have are an outdated mess; the Amazon cords made it so much easier to get things going! This is a great product, it had a lot of great reviews, the price for each was great - I got 2 - the cords are the perfect length and they arrived quickly (I ordered these yesterday, by they way, 8/08; they arrived this afternoon, 8/09). I am very happy!!
