Q: Is there a hole at the bottom for a clamp?

There was no usable hole in mine. Once I had sanded the bottom flat and smooth I stuck it onto a board. Thus making a steady and easily movable base. I used a 'No More Nails' type glue which wouldn't dissolve the head material.

Q: My hatinator head band is a little tight would this be suitable to put it on to loosen it

No. Not really. This polystyrene head 'tapers' in at the sides, which would not stretch your hatinator, just keep it in shape. Depending on how tight your hatinator is, there would also be the risk of squashing/piercing holes in the mannequIn.

Q: is this head to scale? I want to use it to make head dresses and hats on is it life size?

Mine is 21 1/2 inches circumference so will fit hat size small. They all differ fractionally but will be on small side. Will be ok for headbands or facinators. Hope that helps.
