AeroGarden Sprout - Black Indoor Garden

This one surprised me actually. It's easy to run, and works quite well. And the growth rate of the lettuce I put in it startled me. A couple of weeks in, and it's taking over, and needed to be cut back and made into sandwiches.The parsley is, in comparison, a couple of leaves. So different plants have wildly different growth rates. Some thrive, some are more modest.The unit has a bubbler, which does make a little noise, and might be an irritant, but I found it not too noisy for a corner of the kitchen.The light on and off patterns seem to be hard to work out. I thought it was 16 hours on and 8 hours off, but I keep seeming to have to shut it off at midnight and turn on manually in the morning to sync to day. But other than that, it's working better than I expected. I thought it might be a gimmicky thing, but we are getting actual foodstuff harvested in less than a month. I'm tempted to buy more or a bigger unit.

Interestingly the price of this shot up a lot - about £15 - between buying it and receiving it so at the new price it might be less appealing - I would not have paid so much. However I am pleased with the item, it is easy to set up and seems to be doing its thing as promised.Placement can be a problem. I had to opt for a spare bedroom as the only place with enough space, a convenient free socket and a position out of direct sunlight, where also the very bright lights and the noise would not intrude. I forgot to mention it to my partner and when he went upstairs he thought aliens had landed behind the bedroom door - it was like something out of Close Encounters!

Basil, dill and parsley all growing well, sprouted within 2 weeks, slightly noisy but you get used to it, easy to use and great to have the light to remind you to feed them

This is the second of these that I've bought. They are very clever little things.It's very easy to setup, taking a minute or two. This one comes with three plant plugs. Drop each into a space slot, fill with water, add nutrients (included) and switch on. Within a week, you'll see tiny little leaves poke their way from beneath the coir, and rapidly grow into abundant crops of basil, parsley or dill.Why two? The bigger of th two is now used for growing small tomatoes and chilli's. The tomatoes can be bought from Miracle Gro, but I'm using one of the old plugs an put my own chilli seed into it.It's like having a small herb garden in the kitchen, and adds colour to the room and flavour to my cooking.

Poor quality! Shoddy manufacturing. Avoid anything by the company. The pump failed and now it’s just a matter of days before my plants die off with the stagnant water. How long till it corpses and starts to leak all over the house. Basically bad quality.Poor customer service too, I mean they just don’t respond to support for the product they sell. So not only did this product fail but the brand failed too. So all in all a waste of money.

I bought the model Sprout after reading a lot about it on the Internet. I was lucky enough to buy it from Amazon Warehouse deals at a decent price and after some weeks I can tell what I think.Let's start with what I don't like: the noise. The air pump that is injecting air in the water is really really noisy. Forget about having the Sprout in the kitchen or in general in places where you spend some time, you'll end up suspending the operations of light and air pump for the time you'll be in the room. What I also don't like is the price. The EU official reseller is asking for 159,99 Euro for this system and it's absolutely overpriced! Luckily Amazon is giving us the opportunity to buy it for a much cheaper price and I am glad about it.What I like is the possibility to grow herbs during the whole year with very fast growing time (in 3 weeks I started using herbs) and without having soil and the dirt of standard pots. Also the building quality is ok, with solid plastic and well engineered from point of view. I also like that when you remove the electric cable - for example to move the system in a different room - it keeps tracking of the days passed after last time you added nutrients and the LED light starts blinking exactly after 2 weeks since the last time nutrients were added.Last thing to mention. As I said before I bought AeroGarden from Amazon Warehouse and I think this was the reason why I didn't get the expected herb pots. I was supposed to have 1 basil, 1 curley parsey and 1 dill pots but I only got 2 dill pots and 1 curley. So I just removed the original seeds and used mine without issues.If someone asks me if I would buy it again my answer is that it depends on the price. I think that the full price (even buying from Amazon but not as a deal from warehouse) is a bit too high for what you get.

Very simple assembly and we are currently very happy with the progress. The photos are of our plants after only 20 days so very impressed. I did read reviews of some noise but it is incredibly faint and certainly not a problem. The light is timed from when you plug it in so you can change the light times to what suits you by just plugging it in from when you want it to start (switches on for around 12 hours). So far it has required no maintenance (besides adding the plant food at the given times). Already eyeing up the bigger models.

I looked at many different options prior to buying this product. The key bits for me was ease of setting up day/night cycle. Its very easy with this model when you switch it on it automatically activates the light, it then goes off after 16hrs, simple as that. So if you need to change the cycle then just switch off and on when you want the cycle to start.Other than that it is easy to set up and very quiet so ticks all the boxes for me. I've only just started my first set of seedlings so cant vouch for effectiveness but in terms of initial impressions it has ticked all the boxes so far for me.

À fuir, qualité et soudures internes faites par des amateurs, soudures apparentes en regardant en haut entre le cache et le panneau LED (Au normes EU ? Impossible! Incroyable que Amazon vendent des produits aucunement au normes car automatiquement de l'humidité se forme sur la partie LED qui n'est pas protégé et crée un court-circuit contrairement à la pompe qui elle est protégé).Donc ne fonctionne plus au bout d'un mois et quelques jours, une LED en panne qui à pris feu donc tout le panneau entier ne fonctionne plus, ni la pompe à air, feu qui c'est éteint avec l'aide de ma fille ou grâce au plastique fondu (suie noire donc flamme ou combustion)..., donc je me retrouve avec un produit à env25/50 euros qui n'aura servit qu'un mois, ma fille était heureuse de voir ses basilics, persils et piments (qui sont allé dans des pots en terre...Donc à pris feu après 35/40 jours d'utilisation, la garantie amazon de 30 jours ne s'applique pas, ma fille à voulu l'éteindre mais l'eau l'a électrocuté sans dommages corporels (heureusement)...Je compte faire une réclamation à la DGCCRF sur ce produit car extrêmement dangereux, prends feu, soudures apparentes sur un produit utilisant de l'eau (sachez que très peu de volts suffisent à créer un🔥).(Édit)Je viens de re-essayer de le refaire fonctionner (je n'ai rien démonté) pour me prendre un coup de châtaigne après avoir rebranché et en mettant par inadvertance le doigt dans l'eau et le panneau LED ne fonctionne toujours pas, je suis hors de moi... En faite l'humidité remonte sur le panneau LED et crée des court-circuits, je viens de voir qu'une vis du panneau LED à rouillé en 1 mois...Imaginez si nous n'étions pas à notre domicile pour débrancher ou de nuit quand tout le monde dormaient!!!SAV injoignable et introuvable, en gros 50 € par la fenêtre en plus des déchets plastiques, électroniques etc.

Davvero un ottimo articolo, le piante sono crescite rispettando i tempi indicati.Molto pratico e facile da utilizzare.Unica pecca è la facilità con cui si resetta in assenza di corrente, specialmente se manca la luce per poco tempo

Niemals hätte ich das gedacht!!!! Mein Mann liebt Mojitos, leider gibt es die Mojitominze dazu in den kalten Monaten nicht. Wir haben schon mit diversen Lampen versucht im Winter etwas zu züchten. Leider kamen immer wieder kleine Tierchen wegen der Erde und spätestens im Jänner war Schluß. Hab also dieses „Gerät“ gekauft, eher skeptisch um ehrlich zu sein....2 Wochen VOR Weihnachten angesetzt, ergaben bei Geschenkübergabe bereits kleine zarte Pflänzchen und seit dem explodiert diese Pflanze förmlich!!!! Ein wahrer Traum für jeden Hobbygärtner. Klare Kaufempfehlung 👍

Escribo esta reseña un mes después de su puesta en marcha y subo fotos de su estado actual. La verdad es que estoy fascinada con lo rápido que están creciendo y lo hermosas que están. El eneldo (en el medio) ya lo he podado alguna vez y lo he usado, porque crece mucho a lo alto y en teoría hay que mantener las tres plantas con la misma altura para no tener que subir la lámpara antes de tiempo. Planté unas semillas de albahaca en tierra el mismo día, y menuda diferencia. La de tierra apenas han crecido 2 o 3 centímetros, mientras que la del kit está estupenda. El que menos está creciendo es el perejil, pero va tirando igualmente.La verdad es que no te tienes que preocupar de nada, salvo de echar un taponcito de nutrientes cuando se enciende la luz, vigilar de vez en cuando el nivel de agua, y podarlas cuando consideres oportuno. Y es genial entrar cada día en la cocina y ver que están cada vez más grandes.Si tengo que poner una pega, diré que la cápsula de la albahaca me llegó con el papelito despegado. Era molesto porque al principio la esponja de dentro flotaba y al no tener tope por arriba se levantaba mucho. Pero lo arreglé con unos trozos de celo, como se puede apreciar en la foto, y todo correcto.En resumen, me ha encantado esta forma de cultivar hierbas y pienso seguir comprando cápsulas cuando acabe con estas.

Uno de las cápsulas no ha salido, las otras dos genial. Hace un poco de ruido y parece que tenemos una pecera en casa. Pero es fácil de usar y crecen muy rápido
