Smiffys Roman Costume, White with Robe, Belt and Headpiece, Boys Fancy Dress, Child Dress Up Costumes

After reading other reviews I took the chance and ordered the Greek costume for a day at school. TBH for the price it was never going to be theatre quality. My son is 8yo but wears school uniform 10-11yrs so with this in mind and other reviews I ordered the largest 10-12 yo. These days you can’t go by exact age and the robe will just fit over a T-shirt and shorts. These costumes are thin and semi-transparent so yes you need something underneath and need to take this into consideration. The costume is a robe with sash across the front, a detachable rear hanging sash bit which is Velcro’s at the shoulder. There is also an inch thick piece of elastic with gold leaves on it to be worn as a Laurel wreath. I paid under £10 and it is what you pay for. Also it’s a white robe, which my son will wear at school, I doubt it will survive given the colour his uniform canes home in. It arrived promptly and vacuumed packed. I would definitely buy from them again. Also it could be used as a girls costume as there’s nothing that makes it ‘male’.

Bought it for my son culture day at school. He loved it and the quality is really good for the money. I would recommend to buy a bigger size. The material is quite sturdy.

its ok, quite cheap material and stitching, not sure it would last more than one occasion. my son is a short-ish 10 year old and it was to the floor on him. I like the fact it comes with a headpiece, belt and sash. just what we needed for the Ancient Greek day at school

Worth the money - well made

My 12 year old daughter bought this for herself, she absolutely loves it!The hair on the head piece could be made better tbh, quite course material its made from.the mask itself fitted her well, and she loved taking the mick wearing it, just standing facing me as I watched tv, very freaky!! the top and trousers even survived a quick wash program in my washing machine despite the red pom poms attached to the front of the top just being glued on! They are still on, it was true to size, and she didn't want to take it off! A good value for money purchase
