Great feeder
I purchased this feeder as we are going on holiday for a few days and on this occasion, our neighbour isn’t available to check in on and feed our cat. This feeder seemed to fit the bill but I was a bit dubious about it when I saw a number of negative reviews about the water dispenser however, the food dispenser looked like it would meet my needs and as my cat is an outdoorsy girl so the water dispenser is less of an issue anyway.Since receiving it, I am pleased to report that actually – both the food and water dispensers do work very well indeed – you just have to use the right bottle and be sure to remove the tamperproof ring that is normally left behind (see images); failure to remove the ring will prevent the bottle screwing into the thread properly. I first tired a basic 2L lemonade bottle but found that because the sides are so thin and flimsy, the vacuum created in the bottle actually causes it to collapse in on itself. I quickly found an alternative 1L squash bottle which had ridges in the sides for strength and that works perfectly. All in all, I am really pleased with this little contraption – it’s quite pricey for what is essentially some moulded plastic but – it’s a darn site cheaper than a cattery and does a good job so I can’t really ask for more and would gladly recommend it.If you found my review helpful, please hit the thumbs up button below. If not, please let me know so that I can improve in future.

Not brilliant but did the job
Had to go away for a couple of nights last minute, so needed something in a bit of an emergency to keep the cat going while I was gone. On the strength of the reviews, I bought this but I wish I hadn't.Firstly the water section is terrible. One reviewer suggested to use a solid plastic bottle (like a squash bottle) so that it doesn't collapse in on itself. After wasting half a bottle of squash to get an empty one, I found that the mouth of the bottle was too small and wouldn't sit in the holder properly. So I retrieved a lemonade bottle from the recycling. Not ideal as the bottle does compress, but at least it fit the holder. Next job was trying to flip the water unit the right way up and get it into the main assembly without getting water everywhere. Good luck with that - as soon as you turn it the right way up water pours out. But still enough left in the bottle to keep kitty watered for a couple of days, so good enough.Next the biscuit feeder... Useless. I filled the tub about halfway, and released the flap to cascade biscuits everywhere! Oops, my error as I clearly pulled the leaver back too far. So, clean up and try again. Suitable portion of biccies dispensed, success! Madamoiselle Kitty pootles over to have a look at this new contraption and deems it acceptable, all is good. However, I am thankful that I put all this together the day before leaving as the next morning woke up to discover that the suitable portion of biscuits had been duly dispatched and... No further biscuits had been released. I'm not sure if this is a failure on the part of the equipment or the user, but either way no time to investigate further. So option a) give MK all the biccies her little belly can fit and hope she doesn't puke everywhere, or option b) starve her. Option a it was, luckily no vomity mess was made. However MK is very fussy about the freshness of her biscuits, and by the time we returned the biscuits left in the feeding tray were no longer to her majesty's pleasure.Having had the time now to further read reviews I believe some of these flailings may be down to user error, however a decent set of instructions would have saved a lot of hassle and wasted biscuits. To sum up - unit is not terrible, will get you out of trouble for a couple of days but needs decent instructions or a training session to operate successfully. Madamoiselle Kitty was just about satisfied.

Compact but effective
This device works as both a feeder and a drinker. You do have to buy water bottles as the feeder/drinker does not come with a water bottle. This is a pity as, apart from that, it is great. I was using lemonade bottles, FREE, which worked, but they had a tendency to shrivel and bend once screwed it. This still worked but it didn't look good. I then bought some bottles from Amazon but the screw lids are not the same same size as a lemonade etc bottle, but it works! I bought 5 bottles for £5 and think I only needed one or two ... but they will last. The lid of the actual feeder just lifts up easily, but still seals. This is much better than my older feeder which you have to take off the lid completely. My cat can use this but, as he is older, I would have preferred a 'higher' feeder or a tilted feeder so that he wasn't bending down as much. However, I can just place this on a small structure to help his neck. The quality of the plastic is good. I usually use stainless steel or ceramic but, now that he is older, his teeth are too brittle for the hardness of stainless steel and ceramic. The whole device washed well and is a nice colour.

Ferrets fed and watered with some tweaks
Overall a good product to keep my ferrets fed and watered but needed a bit of tweaking with duct tape on the food dispenser as they like to dig in their food. I added some duct tape to reduce the size of the hole that the food falls out of. Also found putting the food container backwards in the slot was more secure as the right way was easily dislodged much to my ferrets delight to throw round their hutch 🙄.With regards to the water bottle found the best fit was a glass screw top wine bottle or similar as it’s too heavy for the stink bums to push over and fits nicely and securely in the fitting with more water than a standard small soft drink bottle which also. The carpet sharks like to have a wash daily, so the larger bottle ensures there is enough for drinking too and I found it way more secure than a plastic bottle.

Does the job.
I cant say this is a good value for money atm, as when I bought it it was almost 1/4 of its advertised now. Using a water bottle is a bit tricky as I can get all style to stay in place. The food part is very convenient, however my cats are on diet and one of them figured out how to open the bottom lid for himself, so unfortunately I can no longer use this till they on the target weight.
